Hello everyone! Wearing Lumiere Noire Pour Femme by Maison Francis Kurkdjian today (from a sample) - gorgeous, a smooth rose chypre with an animalic undertone. Received two compliments already today!

SSS To Dream for me today. This is a lot more rose than I'd usually wear, it smells very fresh and awake to me so the name is kind of funny. Very pretty though, and very strong.

    Good morning, everyone.

    Good morning!

*dora*, your staycation sounds absolutely lovely! Of course, you live in spot high on my "dying to visit" list so I would probably want to stay right there too.

cello, hope we get a concert report!

ineespenes, glad you are feeling better today. I had a dream about Dzing! last week - I have never smelled it but apparently my subconscious is trying to give me a little nudge to get to it!

I'm joining Roberto in Givenchy; vintage L'Interdit EDP & EDT for me today.

Quarry, the rainbow names are for you. If I can't add photos anymore, at least I can add some color, eh?

So glad you are recovering, Ineespenes. Back-ache is so debilitating
as I know only too well.I usually tack strong painkillers and try to keep moving.
If I rest in bed too long I usually just seize up!

I am covered in a right old assortment of samples today, having just been round our
local M and S. I smell of Lyn Harris Le Sauvage and her Rose one also, plus the Roma I applied first thing
    followed by Pacifica Mediterranean Fig.

I'm afraid it would have been a nightmare for me I realised pretty quickly that smelling like the inside of an elephant house wasn't my thing. Hopefully it will wear more favourably on your skin wlEmoticon-fingerscrossed.png

Coincidentally, I did actually go with L'Artisan today - Passage D'Enfer.

Lovely post yesterday, Dora. Don't know how ouzo tastes, but I got a sense of everything you were enjoying.

Nice selections today, everyone. For me it's the very last of my bottle of:

    Mysore Sandalwood by Profumo.it

I don't mind using this all up, I have a new bottle of Chillum (which has a healthy dose of real Mysore in it) on it's way to me very soon.

Good afternoon and best to all. It's very hot today but we have a one-day respite from the rain, so I could finally rollerblade with my friend this morning. She's trying to get me to spin when winter comes. I love bicycling, but I am not eager to spin: I just don't think I have the wardrobe for it. Also, the classes here are very early in the morning.

For the afternoon I am wearing the gorgeous Azurée, which I swear would be a Basenotes favorite if it cost five times as much and came from a niche house. It's so swinging 60s yet so deliciously modern at the same time.

Erin and Quarry, great idea. Can I join you?

Jon, I'm with you in not loving most animalic scents. Admittedly Dzing comes closest for me, because once I get past the circus tent I smell a bit of Bulgari Black wafting over the straw, and I like that part very much. Although not for me, I do love that someone makes this scent and that many people buy it.

Mike, congratulations seem in order. Finishing a full bottle is an accomplishment for me.

Feel better, ((inees)). Ice packs sometimes reduce pain more than heat; experiment a bit.

I'm wearing Pacifica Nerola Orange Blossom layered with Provence Santé Bergamot.

Daughter wants to go jeans shopping during tax free week, and we're packing her stuff to take to college Sunday. After all this time planning, we are a bit boggled that it's about to happen-- our baby bird is fledging.

Luxury sandalwood Cologne by Taylor of Old Bond Street

I still struggle with this one. I want to like it, but it wears a bit too thin and synthetic for my tastes. I tried splashing it on today, instead of spraying, and it's a bit more tolerable but nothing like I imagined it would be. Which is fine because I paid so little for the bottle when I bought it.

ErinK, I predict that Dzing won't be a favorite for you, but I could be wrong. You should certainly give it a sniff.

I, on the other hand, can't sniff a darn thing, saddled as I am today with a sinus cold. Harumph! However, I'm enjoying reading up on the boards! Happy evening to all.
