Leave it to the former frontman of a group called My Chemical Romance to have a song about aromachemicals in his first solo album, "Hesitant Alien" (out Sept. 30 in the US). Not too many details right now, but if you're hoping for a "Black Parade" followup, you'll be disappointed - this is a bright, cheery Britpop album, as far away from My Chem's dark songs as you can get.
According to the linked article, the song in question that will be of interest to Basenoters is titled "Drugstore Perfume". Way said that the track is supposed to be the American equivalent of Pulp's "Common People". Still, here's hoping that Way put in actual fragrance references (brand or otherwise) unlike Drake's "Tuscan Leather", linked to fragrances in title only.
