Default Vacation Fragances for Hot Weather

Hello everybody I'll be going to California for a couple of week vacation and I trying to decide what fragances to take for that kind of weather this is so far what I got to choose from a couple of Montale, Wood and Spices, Aoud Leather, Red Vetiver, from Phaedon Tabac Rouge, Sculpture from Nikos, Vetiver Extreme Guerlain, Vetiver Hombre Adolfo Dominguez and Bambu as well, couple of Pal Zileri Viaggo d'Africa, and Colonia Purissima, Coriolan Guerlain, St Dupont Intense, Balman by Balmain, Derring Do from Ineke, and Kouros YSL, I got a couple more fragances but I just using for work, so what you guys think any advice is more than welcome Thanks very much to all.

The Balmain one and any of your vetiver based fragrances should serve you well. Also Kouros does well in the heat when lightly applied.

Most vetivers are good in Cali weather. I see you have a couple on your list. I'd go with those

Where are you going? San Francisco will be chilly and Los Angels will be blazing. As a born and bred native, I would say that the vetivers are always solid, Coriolan great, too. Please leave Kouros at home. Welcome to paradise!

Virgin Island Water. But from your choices, I would go with Red Vetyver.

    Cartier's Pasha Fraîcheur Menthe. It's minty ice/glaciar in a bottle .

South Bay is another good one IMO.

Viaggo d'Africa blooms nicely in the heat. A nice fragrance for casual settings.

I would go for something like Rive Gauche vintage or Geranium Pour Monsieur, both of which are great performers in the heat.

I'm a rookie, and also at this point just wear what smells good to me and fits my mood regardless of the weather, but I would humbly offer that of my still limited familiarity with different scents, I find Armani Acqua Di Gio to be a "refreshing" scent that still manages to stay reasonably masculine. To me, many such colognes just smell like perfume, but this one I feel comfortable wearing, still strikes me as a male fragrance.

Agree with the vetiver suggestion, especially if you're coming to Southern California. The Balmain would be a good choice as well.

Or, following sjg3839's lead, this would be the perfect excuse to purchase a bottle of Virgin Island Water!

I brought a cheap ($20) bottle of nautica voyage to a cape cod vacation a couple weeks back all i can say is that it made the experience amazing. First of all I could not believe all the compliments I got and second i could not believe how pleasant it smelled in the hot weather on the beach. I tell ya, that is one of my favorite summer colognes ever.

The funny thing is if Crred made it with it's same exact ingredients and called it "Australian yacht summers" and called it's notes "Australian yacht sailcloth" "french apple" "alpine forest green notes" "capri island sea salt" yad yada...it would be the all time best selling summer fragrance ever.
