Ha, either way, it smells like roses to MY nose.
Just because a fragrance is expensive, doesn’t necessarily make it smell better than a cheaper one.

I would definitely choose Dior Homme for a going out "sexy" night scent.

For me LDDM, although a masterpiece in my book, is a little too technical and needs to loosen up a little bit.

    Music groups Analogy:
    - LDDM= Return to Forever (One of the best jazz-rock groups that ever existed in music history).
    - Dior Homme= Led Zeppelin.

Dior Homme, because it smells very good, classy and refined. LDDM smells like spicy sweat.
    Better yet, Dior Homme Intense.

Wow! I am very shocked at the voting so far. I though Tauer would win going away. I'm sure if this was taken a few years back Andy would be on top. It goes to show tastes change and the evolution goes on.

    LDDM.

Now if it was DHI or DHP vs LDDM, I'd perhaps vote DHP/DHI instead, but I really cannot stand the original DH. Way, way, way too much lipstick (iris) in it. The only men that can pull this one off should be Dame Edna or Liberace.

It would certainly be better if that iris note was toned down, and the cocoa note turned up. Iris = lipstick, I must remember that.

Well, I chose LDDM, but Dior Homme is much more wearable and versatile. Although I prefer LDDM in terms of scent, I´d only wear it 1 in 10 occasions.

If we're talking strictly DH vs. LDDM, then for sure LDDM.

However if it's DHI or LDDM, as much as I love the Tauer, I have to pick DHI.

I think Dior Homme for general use but the Tauer fragrance is much more unique.

Yes, you are mixing apples with oranges here.
What smells better, an orange or an apple? Depends what for.

Comparing LDDM with VC&A Zanzibar would make more sense.

The first time I tried Dior Homme I didn't care for it at all. Revisited it a couple of years later and liked it much more, but still haven't gotten to the point where I feel like I need a bottle. Loved and purchased LDDM almost instantly after smelling it a couple of years back, and still love it today.

Dior Homme, definitely. LDDM just loud, harsh, terrible stuff.

I'm waiting my LDDM sample, for several years I've been interested what it would be like. But I did have Zanzibar, it was a love at first sniff, so now I'm really interested.

I would've never thought, in a million years, to pit LADDM and Dior Homme against each other.

If someone wants LADDM with all the harsh edges sanded off, there's Eight & Bob Nuit de Megeve; it's like LADDM as made for the typical Nordstrom shopper. (That's not really meant as a slight, either; I think Nuit de Megeve is very nice. Still, the retail price is way too high for what it offers.)

I would say Dior Homme. Tauer frag I didn't like at all. If you think you can't pull DH off because of the lipstick note then I have some bad news for you...

Although both are great scents, I'd prefer the original formulation Dior Homme.

Dior Homme (previous to 2020 formulation, which I haven’t tried yet), no context to me. Liked everything from Tauer but LADDM. DH can smell common now, but it wasn’t when launched. I wonder how it would being see nowadays still if it were part of any more artisanal brand collection.
I don’t understand. It is so vast that surpasses all understanding.Understanding is always limited. But not understanding can have no boundaries.I feel like I'm much more complete when I don't understand. Not understanding, like I say,is a gift. Not understanding, but not as a simple-minded.The good thing is to be intelligent and not understand. It's a strange blessing, like having craziness without being crazy. It is a meek disinterest,it is a stupid sweetness.

We dress this way specially for the days we wear Dior Homme. No lipstick needed though.

I think "which smells better" questions are sort of odd. There is no definitive answer.

    They are both great scents.

Now if the question was you can only have one, I'd answer LDDM.

Dior Homme EDT over LDDM, LDDM over other versions, for me personally. Dior Homme is my favorite bedtime scent.
    I smell.

Both are supreb. However, L'Air du Desert Morocain is more interesting and is therefore more of a masterpiece; it's more beautiful.
