Default Dior Homme or L`air du Desert Marocain

It's a holiday season and it's time for me to get a sexy night scent. Disregard the price, which of these smell better to your nose?
I wear fragrance to smell good to everyone, not just myself

This is a tough one as they are both great compositions and totally different from each other.

I would say Dior Homme would more suite a sexy going out night time scent.

Very much this, but I think I'd turn to a number of other amber scents ahead of LDDM for a sexy, night out scent. Then again, I'd pick DHI as my night out scent.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

Why must you do this to me? I'd sell my first born and get both.

Honestly though, if I could only choose one, it would be DH for its versatility.

The tauer is a beautiful scent for a date or something. For a night out itself and sex appeal i would go for the dior.

You serious? It's a mass market commercial designer fragrance, sold in countless Dior counters and Sephoras all over the world.
Do you honestly believe that its sales and longevity (and need to release flankers) are supported by a tiny fraction segment of the market?

Every time I go to Sephora, their Dior Homme tester is nearly empty. Now perhaps my town is full of fragrance aficionados, but probably not. Me thinks It's pretty well liked by the masses.

Dior, especially because of that cocoa note. I think L`air du Desert Marocain is too rosy, not a fan.
Just because a fragrance is expensive, doesn’t necessarily make it smell better than a cheaper one.

I am in the middle as both of these scents are fabulous couldn't for the life of me pick one over the other but if I have to DH because of the Sensual vibe it exudes by a nose hair.

LDDM by a mile for me. I've never been able to get into - or get past - DH's lipstick vibe.

Sexy as in all around sexiness - DH
Sexy as in one of a kind sexiness - LddM

Seriously, DH is a bit easier to wear and I'll reach for it more often. But when I am in the mood for LddM, not many things can come close to it. It's just wow.

Tough choice but LddM would probably be my choice, although I like them equally well, the Tauer has better longevity and projection on me.

    2 different frags,

I enjoy both at different times.

    Pizza or gasoline?

EDIT: Sorry, that was rude. They're just so different. If I had to choose one, I'd go with LDDM, one of my all time favorites, especially regarding its smell, it might be my favorite. Only drawback is that it's not super versatile.

Love LDDM, dislike Dior Homme but can't realistically vote as they aren't remotely comparable.

The Fragrance Directory says the middle notes of L`air du Desert Marocain are: Rock Rose and jasmine.

Below are the notes break-down of LddM, copied directly from Tauer's website.

Coriander and cumin, carefully blended with petitgrain

A warm heart note with rock rose and a hint of jasmine.

Dry cedar woods and vetiver, brilliantly joined on a fine ambergris background.

To be honest, I cannot smell any rose (as in traditional rose flowers) but smell labdanum which is a resin from the rock rose plant (?).

Edit - I am no expert here.

Rock rose isn't rose. Heck, there's one called orchid rock rose, which isn't an orchid or a rose. They're all different orders and families.

    THIS.

These two scents have nothing in common. Both are excellent. Both for entirely different reasons.
