    Hello lovelies!

I'm spending the day in Hermès Kelly Calèche.

We are having some very pretty snow flurries with no remote chance of anything sticking, so naturally everyone thinks school needs to be out. Hehe.

I didn't make it here yesterday (was in No.19) but I read yesterday's thread this morning and then made the mistake of wikipedia-ing haggis. Yikes.

    Good afternoon all!

I have yet to go out to clear the snow away. Dragging my feet, LOL.
Looks like quite a bit of it but it's in drifts. Thankfully it's the light fluffy stuff.

It is! If I bite the bullet and get a bottle I will send you some for spritzing. Good luck at the dentist!

Can I join the Sancti love-in ? Such a fresh incense, with a lovely warm / cool contrast between the ginger and frankincense.
I only have room for one incense in my collection, but if Avignon ever runs out, Sancti will be its replacement.

No snow here at all (no skiing either). I'm wearing Revlon Intimate today from a bottle off my mother's dresser. When she moved to the care facility she could not take anything glass. The top notes are long gone but it still smells great.

    Testing Bel Respiro..

Like it some but the dry down I am not big on..it's like a synthetic-y musk with lotv. I don't care for bigger lotv notes, I don't like Diorissimo, for example. I don't see lotv listed for BR though, but it's like a green, lotv note.

    Hey y'all -

I wore vintage Norell, 70s perfume, this morning...
...and I'm in vintage Parure, also 70s perfume, for the evening. Have a good night, everyone.

cello and Jon - aside from Roger's *tragic* early departure, I think the Open's been great, and very exciting - I *live* for this sort of tennis drama! This Kyrgios kid has been so fun to watch, but I'm especially enjoying Nishikori doing so well - I feel like I've been pulling for him for such a long time, so it's great to see him in the top 10. Re., Rafa, it's disappointing, but I can't say I'm all that shocked (...aside from that second-set bagel - *that* was pretty shocking, lol.) But he's been away, and Berdych's no slouch ...and boy, was he ever ready for him! Good for Berdych - I'm sure he thinks it's about damn time.

Hey kalli - I know what you mean about Bel Respiro. That green stemmy note can be a bit weird, and I know it's difficult for some people. It makes sense that it reminds you of lotv, since that's a made-up sort of fantasy note, but it definitely reads as green, sharp and stemmy when done right. (As for Diorissimo, I don't get lotv at all - to me Diorissimo is somewhere between lilac and butterfly bush, but no lotv as far as my nose is concerned.) It's a funny note, but the same things that make it could very well be bugging you in BR. I'm over it too, actually - I just finished my last bottle, and I don't think I'll be replacing it.

You are over it, E? LOL, didn't think I'd see that post from you! LOL. It reminded me more of Jessica Mclintock more than an Exclusif(except the with the Chanel aldehydes). The opening was complex with some aldehydes, then it was a green and synthetic-y musk. I did like the opening but the dry down wasn't for me. This was the only exclusif so far that I didn't care for much. Well, Coromandel..cause I just don't like super patchy scents usually..but it was still one that I liked as a perfume..and may test again.

Hehe, well, the opening is definitely the best part, but as a whole it never did really rock my world, but it was perfect for tennis (and running - I used to run in it a lot, also) but I really don't *need* a Chanel exclusive for outdoor sports, y'know? I've got several fresh and sporty fragrances that are half as expensive but every bit as nice as Bel Respiro, and most of them last much longer.

Very true E. It's kind of like an exclusif when one doesn't want to wear an exclusif, but who needs an exclusif for that? Something like that. lol.

Perhaps I may like it more in warmer, Australian weather.

We're all dug out-- it wasn't nearly as light and fluffy as it looked. Time for some Tylenol...

We actually were lucky, only got about 12-14" -- the blizzard is still ongoing in the eastern part of the state, and some of those areas have 26".
