Got a new bottle last night batch ch27. Old bottle was ch22.

The 22 was perfect in my view. Could see no issue with it compared with previous bottles.

Was paranoid about new bottle and thought it was weaker in first spray last night.

This morning an hour in not so sure. Smelling imperious at the moment... Curious how it lasts the morning / day.

Is/was the juice of your CH27 and CH22 also much lighter in color compared to the pre-CH22?
And did you do a side by side with the CH22+ and CH22- batches? Memory often deceives..........

I also tried the Golden Edition when I was there and liked that quite a bit; however, the drydown seemed close enough (but definitely not identical) to Cuir Ottoman (one of my favorites!) so I figured I didn't need both. I've never tried the Etro, but Xerjoff Homme is superb and quite similar to K10. Unfortunately it's sooooo ridiculously expensive! It's worth trying a sample though if you like the genre.
I still haven't managed to get down to Pasteur within their business hours, but hope to in a few weeks. Interesting to hear about your finding Golden Edition very similar to Cuir Ottoman. I don't have CO, though I've had interest for some time (I kick myself for missing a sale on it at MiN NY early last year as they were shedding inventory). Etro Gomma can be had pretty cheaply, though. I got the previous release (silver cap w/purple band on box) for $65 shipped from a German seller. Lasts a good 12+ hours when sprayed on forearm (I'd say it descends to a skin scent after about 6~8 hours).

I would not have pre and post 22 batches together.

Would think the 27 is slightly lighter in appearance than 22.

The scent itself is after a day wearing it smoother and less "headache" inducing in the opening.

This could off course be the senses playing games with me.

Re applied at lunchtime 7/8 hours ago after a gym session and shower. Still smell it off my clothes. Not sure about the skin as its on me...

It is still a magnificent scent... Far better than more expensive and exclusive offerings

I've been using Fahrenheit on and off for about 30 years. I only started using Knize Ten 2 years ago.

Personally, I don't think they are all that similar.

    Not similar at all.
Knize Ten does not have a gasoline note but more of a motor oil (the greasy part) note in the opening/beginning heart stage which has/is a completely different smell.

Fahrenheit is a great great scent which really suits my skin. Possibly my most successful compliment getter.

Knize Ten is a completely different and unrelated scent. It is far more masculine, less sweet in my opinion.

Like both, wire Fahrenhite obsessively in early 90s. Can survive without it today.

Cannot imagine not wearing Knize at least once a week.

My currently daily wearer. Batch 27. Not as long lasting. Still the greatest smelling scent ever imp.

Me neither other than both have more character than 99% of what's out there.

To some extent it seems many people read anything that contains animalics as smelling like anything else that contains animalics. :-)

as I said, only the very first (few) sniff is what reminds me of kouros. after 1-5 minutes it's a completely different beast.
well... it's a beast, but only at the beginning. it starts VERY strong, but after an hour or so, it's already a skin scent, so it's definitely not in the same league as the kouros and as I hoped after the first spray. it WAS back in the old days (pre-2014?), but I found it too late. but it's still very-very good. pluran is right: this juice has more character than almost every bottle in my collection.

Backed-up Knize Ten from my usual Knize Ten dealer today. Got a weird 125 tml bottle, batchcode CH 31048, that one was ment for a filling with Knize Two. There's a Knize Two logo (red letters) printed on the bottle, which is hidden under a black/white sticker with the "The Gentleman's Knize Ten Fragrance" lettering. On the bottom of it there's "Knize Ten" embossed in the glass.
The juice is dark yellow, almost orange, as is my old 225 ml splash. It's amazingly potent. Don't know what to make of this ... but cool, nice find :-)

The huge one has no batchcode and originally came with a significantly brighter, more pale yellow juice btw. It has darkened very much. Bought it 4 years ago. The one I bought yesterday was orange out of the box. Smell is exactly the same, not even the subtlest differences, just none.

There is a batch code, actually. It's printed right on the bottle. Looks like CH 31048. And the label/bottle doesn't look vintage, meaning like pre CH-20.

Have you tried Knize Golden Edition? I think it's excellent... and while it's very similar to 10, there's something about it that I prefer. There is this whole unfortunate case of reformulations. I've seen some serious Knize Ten collectors here say that pretty much CH21 and on is noticeably different, and something like pre CH19 is where the good stuff is. Then another person I communicated with said that the difference is noticeable in the beginning but after about 30 mins into the dry-down you don't notice the difference. Sort of like what you experience with Antaeus (although I find that up-close, vintage Antaeus still carries a castoreum note you cannot find in the modern version).

OTOH, there's Etro Gomma. I find it very similar to Knize Ten, but with a slight citrus/herbal accord. And actually, I've come to prefer it.

Thank you. I meant there's no batchcode on the huge bottle. The one with the CH-3 ... is the bottle I got this week. They both very well may not be vintage. I'm just wondering when CH-21 and lower numbers were made, because both of these bottles smell terriffic and I'm also wondering a bit why this juice (in the recent bottle) is so dark. It might also be possible I'm only socialised with reform. K-10. On the other hand I've been wearing this fragrance since years, more or less.
I love the Golden Edition, I think it's a bit more refined/nuanced, might buy a bottle in the future. Never tried Gomma though.

I bought a bottle online last week and the batch code is CH.33378. The liquid color is practically the same as on Roky's photos, not yellow at all, but orangish. The thing is that the box came unsealed... is this normal with this perfume or the Knize house in general? I asked the store for an explanation and they told me that the maker sends the boxes that way due to environmental concerns. :S

Un-wrapped boxes in general today is pretty normal, either for environmental- or cost-saving reasons. I would rest assured that the K-10 is perfectly legit

I've worn the version I was talking about 3 posts above a couple of times. I wish I could comment on the scent compared to previous versions but I blind bought it and have no idea how Knize Ten smelled before. What I can do is to compare it longevity wise with current versions of Antaeus (3202, production date 2018-08) and Fahrenheit (8G01, 2018-07). The Knize Ten is CH.33378 and I bought it at an online store last month. It's the 125ml bottle.

It's important to note that the Knize Ten sprayer sprays way less liquid than both the Antaeus and Fahrenheit sprayers. I always do just 1x or 2x sprays to the chest:

    1x Fahrenheit 7-8h
    1x Knize Ten 9-10h
    2x Fahenheit 11-12h
    1x Antaeus 12-13h
    2x Knize Ten 14-15h

One thing about the scent. I've read some comments that the Knize Ten opening (at least in some versions) has a noticeable citrus. What kind of citrus are they talking about? I don't detect any citrus. Certainly not a lemon like smell. Are they referring to a sweet orange blended in the background maybe?
