Default What Oud/Mukhallat are you wearing today?

Today I am wearing some shamama attar.
It is very spicy and uplifting. Good for rainy or colder days like today.

I'm wearing Manipura today on my birthday. A very special Hindi oil with some fruit, caramel and tobacco, and that slow rumbling base note of a great Hindi oil :)

I just applied a tiny bit of Oud Nuh before attending Isha and Tarawih at the neighboring mosque. Just before heading there, I sat only a meter and a half or so away from mom, knowing just what kind of a meticulous nose she has, and awaited her reaction to Nuh, like I did a couple of years back, and her reaction was just as impressive as the scent profile of Nuh.....what a smell!!!! She said..indeed, Nuh is a timeless work of art..:)

Nuh was a really nice oil. One of the early low-barnyard type Hindi's. I finished mine off a couple of years ago :(

    Oud Kampuchea from Taha.
It has aged very nicely, and has become darker in color as well as in the scent itself. It is so complex and is stronger than it was when I boguht it that now it seems to be almost a synthetic perfume
( hmm.. not sure if this is really a compliment...)

It has become absolutely lovely- a true gem !

Tu as l'air d'aimer les ouds indien Tarik. J'en ai 7 à la maison et il y en qu'un seul que j'aime.

Today, it was a thaï custom but it will be certainly an old cambodi for the mesjid tonight.

Today I'm wearing Royal Assam from Agaraura. A great low barn Hindi. Not no barn mind you, There is leather and a nice toffee and bitter chocolate accord, with an indefinable fruitiness. Awesome :)

Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud for me today.
One of the few western perfumes that has real oud in it. Its very blatant and in an impressive quantity, and although I think I do smell synthetic oud as well as the scent develops, the Borneo oud is very very clear in the first couple hours.
Its clearly a low grade (bunk wood + high pressure steam distillation) oud, however the way its been blended with the other ingredients, I think it works very well!
If I were to pretend I didn't know anything about oud quality/oud distillation/etc, and instead just focus on enjoying the scent (which I do), I find it to be quite enjoyable.

Also got to try Annick Goutal's Encens Flamboyant at a mall today... starts off smelling like a Dubai mall actually (a very accurate post-oud-fumigation smell). But dries down to smell too much like a soap holder - although there's still that incense smoke aroma all the way to the dry down.
