Freshly laundered clothing vibes are really strong with this one...seems quite similar to the Eau de Toilette from what I remember. Smells good but unremarkable.

Aventus Cologne- not a bad fragrance, but I think Aventus is much much better, no point of me buying the cologne version.

MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver- now this one is great, its on my buy list for sure.

Naomi Goodsir - Or du Sérail

Like.. dried fruits + potpourri. Or some kind of raspberry/cranberry + cinnamon + apple pie or something, haha. Almost a kind of wine-y smell too?

It's heavy without being heavy, if that makes sense.

Swung by Nordstrom and checked out a few from Tom Ford I hadn't smelled before.

Lost Cherry - I see why people like it, I like it also but I don't even know that I need a decant. But nice. I can totally see layering this with TV actually; wish I'd thought of that while I was standing there,
Lavender Extreme - I dig it, but at it's absurd price point I couldn't even begin to entertain the idea of buying a bottle.
Beau Du Jour - Like it a lot. Scented up before leaving and got a out-of-the-blue compliment on the way out. Reminds me a lot of Rive Gauche, particularly in the dry down.

I smelled Aventus Cologne for the first time yesterday. It's ok, just Aventus with longer lasting top notes, less performance overall, but still pretty good. Much less birch in the dry down. Seems like a rip off, and just Creed capitalizing on Aventus' success, with Youtube backers like Jeremy, BFL, Redolessence to help boost sales.

I tried Code Colonia. Not sure if I like it or not. Like a cleaner, fresher version of Code but it dies off too fast.

I tried Aventus Cologne and I was disappointed. It smelled perfectly pleasant, but it was nothing noteworthy. The only bottle of Aventus I’ve ever owned was from the original release in 2010, and the new Cologne has nothing in common with that scent. The Cologne is all sweet, citrus, and aquatic over the standard Creed base, and it lasted for an hour before it became a skin scent on me.

Wow, this one really pierces the nostrils right away, huh?

Right from the opening it smells like some kind of watermelon and like.. the pink or something colored Canel's gum:

With like.. I don't know.. a white smoke smell added to it? Birch? Not bad.

    Thameen - Sceptre

Whoooa, not sure what the notes are but I'm getting some massive coconut & pina colada from this one!

Along with something else, I can't quite make it out - like a candied -something-, haha.

Edit: Dayum, then it seemingly changed really fast after that intro! Now it has quite a bitter aspect to it. It's definitely different, but not scarily so. Kind of like a dry resin with a candied sweetness with a coconut-y/pina colada in the background supporting it?

Edit: This might sound weird, I get an ocean vibe from it - like a kind of salty but ocean-y smell. But meshed with the sweetness. This could go either way for people - polarizing? heh

Thierry Mugler Mirror des Vanites. It reminds me of a Guerlain Aqua Allegoria fragrance. A citrus green aromatic.

Kind of like a bubblegum-y vibe. I like it. Good 'dumb grab'. Unisex leaning feminine, but I'd rock this.

So apparently the notes are rose, patchouli, oakmoss, blah blah blah. Yeah... I don't really get any of that, haha. If that's rose, it's like a candied rose - somewhat similar to Rose d'Arabie but not as jammy. Can't say I pick up patchouli. I like the frag though - quite different than expected based on supposed notes (from Fragrantica votes at least...)

I liked that one too! I share your thoughts.

Do I get booted from the thread if it happened yesterday? A blind trade landed "Over the Musk" by Mugler into my collection.

A sniff from the bottle strikes me a pillowy, soft, cottony, very light version of Kiehl's Original Musk. It smells very feminine to me but according the reviews, the pepper note adds a male aspect to it and I understand that it changes with body heat and gender. We'll see. I haven't had time for a full wearing yet.
