    Cartier Declaration
This was nice! Is it vetiver that is the dominant note in it? It smells very sophisticated and mature but not old man at all. A very clean-type of scent. Cartier makes surprisingly good fragrances, a notch above the regular designer output. Pasha is like an idealized homage to 80s barbershop fragrances, IMO, and this Declaration smells almost niche to my unsophisticated nose. Only one I can't get into is Santos these days, but I'll probably give it another shot just to see if it's as good of quality as these two.

It's a good one. I think there's better vintage scents out that would take priority over it.

I tried Gucci Guilty Oud tonight. I'm on the fence with this one. I'm trying to convince myself to like it but I'm resisting. Interesting fragrance, though.

Versace The Dreamer...well, the infamous opening sure made itself known...what in the cheap-bubblegum-dipped-in-nail-polish-remover is that? Drydown comes in quick for the rescue though, enjoyed it afterwards, it's pretty unique. Good performance, especially at the low pricepoint. So not a bad buy to have in the collection, but it will take some time to get used to it and to confidently rock it.

Guarlain Heritage EDT. Great performance and I like the way it smells, but I do think it would work a lot better if I was in my 40's or up.

Histoires de Parfums Noir Patchouli. I applied a single spray to the back of one hand then pressed the back of my other hand on top. Holy cow this stuff is room filling. I'm glad I only bought the travel spray as this will last forever.

Yes definitely not one for the younger crowds. It's a great conservative work scent.

I tried out Prada Milano? I was confused because I first thought it was L'Homme, but the Macy's didn't carry that. Just Milano, which I hadn't heard of before. Smelled pretty good but very reminiscent of other scents. La Nuit comes to mind.

    Gucci Guilty Oud

    26155453-256.jpg

I've been interested in trying this for two reasons: Gucci has made me a fan with GGA and the bottle of this reminded me of Trussardi Uomo. I never tried oud before so I didn't know what to expect other than assuming it was a heavy fragrance.

On paper this thing smells like a throwback to powerhouse scents like Antaeus, if I'm remembering the scent of that one right. Very perfumey and thick. I guess it's the blackberry and pink pepper that gives it a unisex feel. I swear it feels like it could be a heavy woman's perfume. I can get what's maybe patchouli and what I think may be the leather coming through.

It's a very interesting scent and smells luxurious. It smells smooth for being like an oriental. But I'm guessing that on my skin it would wear a lot heavier.

I like it though! I'm surprised this only has one review here.

Gucci Guilty Black is a nice, somewhat safe scent. There's a mint vibe in there.
Gucci Guilty Absolute is one of the most challenging modern designer fragrances out there but it's got this odd addictive smell, like the way the smell of gasoline is appealing when you're a kid.
Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme is really nice. I don't think it has anything to do with GGA Pour Homme, but it's a very nice scent, I think it has this very firm floral note to it, I don't know if it was rose mixed with some kind of berry.
    And now this one, GGAO.
Wow, I'm used to aquatic unisex fragrances. This one...I think it leans a little more into feminine territory but it's really, really nice.

Lalique - Encre Noir a l'Extreme. Definitely a love at first sniff type scent to me. Love the cypress in this. Will probably buy the regular Encre Noir at some point as well. Amazing value at it's pricepoint and great presentation as well.
