Default Is versace oud noir worth it?

Is it even worth buying with the performance issues

Might get some inspiration or not from this previous thread:

I have been sampling recently and also pondering a purchase. Normally I would just buy it but this is expensive for a Versace. I have, however, been getting stellar performance from this, not sure how everyone esle seems to be disappointed. Lasts a long time for me.

I just bought this the other day. I've been waiting a LONG time to get a bottle from a legit dealer for a good price.

When it came in, I was so excited I couldn't contain myself. When I sprayed it, the anger set in.
I heard Oud Wood comparisons. "Middle East in a bottle".

Really?! This smells exactly like Versace Man, except LIGHTER! I love Versace Man, it's great. My mind is blown at what they did here. I feel like they literally just watered down Versace Man, and called it Oud Noir.

Bottle is beautiful. Perfume has average performance for me. Super annoyed. Glad I didn't pay more than I did.

Don't be fooled by this one. It smells impressive on paper. On skin, it dies quickly and becomes all spices in the dry down. Becomes very synthetic. Nothing to see here and most certainly not worth the price I've seen at some retailers.

To me it is. What's this obsession about performance on basenotes? Most of us have enough bottles for more than one lifetime anyway. This is a nice fresh oud. Not skanky but light. I would call this a summer oud.

Apparently there are fakes of this floating around.
I opted for Amazon for around the same price for peace of mind.
    Gotta be careful with Versace.

I like it so much. Woody and spicy. Not so common yet very versatile for everyday wear. It has very good longevity and projection on me, you just need more spays cause the spritzer releases small amount of juice. For this I need twice more sprays, 4 instead of my 'standard' two, that's the deal. I have the same issue with Gucci pour homme II (and I, and even Envy), the juice is potent, just need to be spayed twice more due to small amount in single spray.

P.S. Bought it for $65, however, it's rather not worth retail of $170 after all.

I purchased a while ago and sent it back. Wasn't a bad fragrance (actually liked it). The longevity was horrible on my skin. The price has been reduced since then. So I purchased another bottle, and for the recent price it's a good fragrance for the price. Got a tester bottle for around $60.00.

Not a Oud fan. Many people especially women who smell it on me hate it so I tend to steer away from the stuff but I do like MFK Oud and ADP Colonia Intensa Oud....It's just one note to me that not many people who smell it on you will like. Doesn't mean you can't wear it and certainly those who wear scents ONLY for themselves would probably love it...

There isnt much oud in it.
    Mostly leather, spices, cedar, amber.
Oud is in the top, but fades into the dark leather.

I bought this at full retail on release day and regret it. The scent Is alright but, it has very poor longevity. If possible, get it at a discount, otherwise is a pass!

I bought a bottle for $48 recently and really am enjoying wearing this in warm weather. I don't get the Versace Man comparision in the slightest. I actually really hated that one because it smelled to me exactly like a stale cigarette. Oud Noir is nothing like that. Like others have said there's not much oud in this. It's there, but gives way to the leather and saffron which are excellent. Smell wise it's great. Unfortunately it doesn't project very well, but sillage is good. Longevity is spotty. Sometimes I get 3 hours and at other times a get close to 5. Overall for $48 yeah, it's absolutely worth buying.
