    Default Amouage Jubilation XXV tested

Hey guys, I just came from a major fragrance testing session. I was out to try some Frederic Malles as well as see how my beloved Musc Ravageur has become as it's been reformulated. As I tested them, I decided that Musc Ravageur is simply an older man's fragrance. I'm sorry that I have to let that one go. I keep going back to Jubilation now. I can't decide if it has that same older gentleman vibe to it. Do you think it does? (Keep in mind i'm in my mid twenties.)

    IMO - No.

If you can stand the opening few minutes, I think it's an OK scent.

In my opinion, yes. It has an "older" vibe to it; but in this case that's just fine. It's not as retro as some other scents that I tend to avoid.

I've always felt that it's a very "mature" type perfume. You should wear whatever it is that you like, but I think it'd be a lie if we said when we smell some perfumes it doesn't make us think of a certain type of person that wears it.
Your classification might be different than mine, but still.
I wear it very rarely. At once I was in love with it, but after some time I found myself rarely wearing it for this exact reason. It just doesn't sit well with me.

Not sure what the newest forumuls smells like though. My guess is not much different since you don't hear many people complaing about JXXV.

For a strong amber-ish scent I reach for Ambre Sultan rather than MR, because I think that composition offers better balance and contrast. I don't understand the appeal of MR other than perhaps for the first twenty minutes or so, and I'm more of a drydown person.

I like the scent but I definitely think it has a more mature vibe to it.

Sounds to me that you're just not man enough to pull off Musc Ravageur.

People who say its not a mature scent are the old people.

Jubilation has a mature vibe for sure, can be worn easily for someone in there mid 20s but you got dress up. Skate board and a pair of Vans is a no no.

True punk rocker can pull it off, the posers are the ones afraid of smelling like "old people."

I have to agree with comments that jubi is a mature type of scent. I like it quite a bit but almost never reach for it. Kind of same story as I have with Gucci pour homme 1.

No, jubilation is for every age but it is pretty average. It is so concerned with development that someone didn't realise that it's final destination is a small collection of badly blended and very tired base notes. By the end of a wearing it feels neutered.
