Default The Visual Clichés of a Perfumer or Artistic Director

    1) Wearing a white shirt (or mostly black attire, if you want to come across as mysterious or edgy).

    2) Publishing a photo of yourself smelling a test strip (smiling optional).

    3) Ensuring that at least one photo of you is taken in a laboratory.

    4) Add more mystery - take a black and white photo.

Personally, I don't think Francis Kurkdjian is actually smelling that test strip - more soothing his itchy eyebrow...

lsn't it a shame; they turned that gift wrap into a jacket for him, but they couldn't turn that piece of fabric into a dress for her?

Really?! How about this requisite black & white with strips?

The classic sitting behind a row of flaçons.

Eccentric wardrobe? How about a Wimbledon blazer?

Nope. I'm afraid to note Kaern, that Buxton isn't immune to the usual perfumers clichés.

I think Roja Dove wins the Oscar, or whatever the perfumer's equivalent is, for these type of things.

What about big jars of raw ingredients they'll never conceivably use in that form? Jars of dried rose petals, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, etc.
