Default Guerlain Heritage EDT vs EDP

I've only known Guerlain Heritage in EDT concentration and still have a bottle in my collection, but have been recently wondering about the EDP... It doesn't seem to be as readily available as the EDT, but, still available online quite easily.

Can someone with experience with both chime in, please, and describe how the EDP differs form the EDT? Reviews seem a little mixed, some people going as far as saying it's the same scent, and owning both is pointless. Just curious about that, and wondering whether I should get another bottle of EDT, or switch it up and go with EDP instead.

    Thank you

I own both. I find them pretty much the same with the EDP having enhanced or sharper lavender and sandalwood notes and much better longevity. Other than that, not much more of a difference to my nose.

I've owned both. Absolutely loved the EDT, but was not a big fan of the EDP.
It's much denser, and it highlights the facets of the EDT that I least enjoyed,
    primarily the lavender and vanilla.

The EDP is absolute quality though. If you like the EDT there's a good chance you will like the EDP.
For me, it didn't project as well. Longevity was roughly the same for both.

After reading thread after thread here and on other sites, it appears the edt would suit my tastes more, although if memory serves, the edp is supposedly much 'smoother' and 'creamier'.
It is true that fish stink. It is also true that the river is
beautiful. But the river would be beautiful despite the fish. What
    is noxious remains so.

That is not to say that sh*t is not useful when buried in the wheat
field. Bread made from the field tastes sweet, wine from the arbor
sweetest. All things serve a purpose, but that is no reason to
glorify what is abominable. A man must still watch where he walks
    and keep his sandals clean.

OK, quick update... Thank you for your feedback, guys. Based on comments like "Absolutely loved the EDT, but was not a big fan of the EDP. It's much denser, and it highlights the facets of the EDT that I least enjoyed, primarily the lavender and vanilla." - which I've also seen in other reviews - I decided to stick with the EDT, which I know and love as is. Maybe if I come across the EDP somewhere I'll give it a try, but for now, it's been "shelved."

So I went ahead and ordered a bottle of EDT, but this time I looked for the vintage version, which is supposedly richer and longer lasting.

I picked up a bottle of the EDP Heritage this morning. Its a gold cap as opposed to silver, can someone confirm if the gold cap is the vintage version? Much appreciated.
