Default Fragrances you enjoy more out of season

Obviously, you can wear what you want when you want. There are no rules. But still... I'd bet most of us have seasonal favorites. Do you have any summer scents you prefer in winter? Or winter scents you prefer in summer?

Most people think of Royal Oud as a scent for fall and winter, but it's 90 degrees today, and Royal Oud is perfect thanks to low humidity. The hotter the weather, the more I enjoy it.
I have a 100ml Gucci Pour Homme 2003 that I'll swap for Reflection Man or De Bachmakov. PM me if interested.

I wear "English Style" EdC sometimes in the winter time, but our winter in Buenos Aires is like Spring in some places in the Northern Hemisphere.

I found that I really like Ermenegildo Zegna Indonesian Oud quite a bit in the warm weather. Of course, need to go with a light dusting rather than full super-soaker mode.
    Seasonal favorites:

    1. Xerjoff - Nio
    2. Creed - Aventus
    3. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
    4. The Different Company - De Bachmakov
    5. Dior - Homme Sport 2008
    6. Montale - Aoud Legacy
    7. Creed - Virgin Island Water
    8. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
    9. Creed - Original Cologne
    10. Clive Christian - 1872 for Men

Perhaps some overly peppery scents of the red variety in the summer time would be rarer for me than in the winter, but I have worn them and I have felt OK doing so. .

By kilian back to black I enjoy in the warm weather but of course gotta stay easy on the trigger.

I'll have to try Royal oud for the warm weather. I only have about 20 mls so I try to save it for special events.

There are only 3 'seasons' here: hot & humid, wet & humid, cool & airconditioned. I seem to enjoy my vetivers more when it is cooler.

Silver Mountain Water by Creed is hyped as "for warmer" weather scent, but it works a lot better on my skin in the colder months.

LDDM, which I will only wear during the summer when it's hot and dry. It's typically touted as a winter/fall option.

Dior Homme Sport ('08), which I only wear from January to April. It's usually labelled a spring/summer fragrance.

Scent of Peace for Him, which I would normally classify as Spring/Summer, I only use in the winter.

    D&G The One
: I wear it in the summer at night, though people tend to associate it with mostly the fall and winter. I've always found it has a tropical quality to it.

    I think that's about it.

Boss Bottled in summer, while it's rather more a cooler, albeit not exactly a winter scent.
Givenchy Very Irresistible for men during summer evenings, regardless it's a gourmand and easily an autumn scent
Bvlgari Aqua - incredible how it can cut through the cold, winter air
YSL Body Kouros and Dior Fahrenheit Absolute during summer nights!
D&G The One - summer nights
Costume National Homme - a lot of people see it as a winter holiday scent. To me it's a perfect - sunny spring day scent!
Azzaro Chrome - winter night outs

CDG 2 Man performs better for me at around 15C/60F in diffusing its aldehydic/incense accord, as when its colder the scent has a hard time projecting through layers of clothing.

Is it ok to mention female fragrances too?
Doesn't work for me, but I smell Angel on people relatively often in summer, and on many it's lovely..
I wear Opium whenever I want, but I think of it as a warm weather scent. It smells "of hot exotic places".
Dolce Vita may smell "cosy", but the smell gives me visions of the Mediterranean & goes with somewhat warm weather.

I've also enjoyed Light Blue, Cool Water & DKNY Women in winter. It "resets" the nose between all the winter orientals.

Summer / fresh / citrus scents in winter is easy for me. Live Jazz or Eau D'Orange Vert or L'Eau D'Issey I wear all year around.
In summertime I seem to not wear very sweet scents much (Pi or Cristobal for example). Bu I do wear Eau Sauvage Parfum and Gucci Envy and Xeryus Rouge.

Chanel Allure Homme Sport for me. Most people like it in the summer, but to me it's too rich and strong when it's hot out....so I prefer it when it's no warmer than low 70's

Hi, my name is Fahrenheit. I am 29 years old and live in Australia. My hobbies include (but are not not limited to) collecting fragrances, lifting weights, trying out different fad diets, drinking beer and eating junk food. Drinking beer and eating junk are the only things I do in moderation, everything else is full on. I plan on starting Fishing as a new hobby in the next few weeks.

Anyway, enough about me. Let's talk frags

To me that's wearing it in season. It's an autumn scent for me and that's the rough temperature point I enjoy it most at.

I love Royal Oud in summer. The hotter the weather, the more I enjoy it! But, and I can't stress this enough, it needs low humidity. I reach for Royal Oud the most when temps rise above 90 F. And speaking of F...

I wasn't a big fan of Fahrenheit Absolute, but I LOVE wearing Fahrenheit in summer. I wear it lightly, of course. And speaking of lightly...

Again, assuming we're talking about low humidity, if worn lightly, 1 Million works in summer quite well. But you've got to wear it lightly in a dry heat.

I agree completely. I find AHS to be too thick and heavy for summer weather.

So far, the only citrus I've found that works well for me in winter is Terre d'Hermes Parfum, but the drawback there is that it's hard to wear in summer because it's so heavy. But man oh man do I love the stuff! In summer, I only wear it if I know I'm not going outside at all.

You're so right. Bvlgari Aqva is a weird one, but not in a bad way. I think I wear it more in cool weather than in summer.

L'Air du Desert Marocain is a cold weather/hot weather scent for me. I can wear it in winter. I can wear it in the worst of summer. But I can't wear it in warm weather, and definitely not in spring.
