Default Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche edp vs edt

So I purchased a sample of this lately and am trying to locate a bottle. But am very confused. So this comes in a EDT and EDP??? I don't know which sample I got lol. And it's exactly the one I want. So is there both versions? And which is better?

Earlier the bottles were Eau de Toilette Concentree (or perhaps Eau de Toilette Intense).

The new bottles are Eau de Parfums. I think they raised the prices a bit, unsurprisingly.

Most likely your sample is of the newer version (depending on where you got it from).

Never noticed any significant difference between the two versions.
Looking to swap for Bois du Portugal (5-10 ml).
Have Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Vetiver Extraordinaire, Incense Oud, Tobacco Oud and others.

Kindly PM. USA Only. Thank you.

There are rumors of it having been reformulated but I didn't notice any differences in smell and performances when I compared them side by side. Might just be my nose, though. I think this was just a rename rather than a reformulation.

I think it was just a re-branding or re-labeling of the concentration without any noteworthy or significant change in the scent. Just a hunch

    Re-packaging.
I have the old and the new, and see no difference excepting the price.

20150618_230053.jpgIt should say eau de toilette concentree(if it's an edt) on the sample, I have it right in front of me as I write this. Conjecture: It's most likely the edp as Chanel is shooting for increased sales projections on the edp as that's what's trending right now with Chanel. Sephora should have labelled it for you btw. Godspeed.

The concensus seems to be that the two are the same...

Good scent. Not my all time fave, but good to have it

I ordered the edp from the Chanel website and they sent me edt concentree, effectively confirming their position that they are the same thing.

The longevity is ok for a fresh scent, but the original Allure Homme and Allure Homme Sport, edt's, are stronger and longer lasting for me. I love this line.

I purchased my sample from a BN member. No clarification on type yet. Awaiting his response.

It might be a marketing/sales thing or whatever going from EdTC to EdP + price raise, and not a reformulation. Don't worry about it.

EDT is way better. EDP is to sour and less creamy.

Except, they're probably the same fragrance with just a labeling/packaging change.

But ironically in fragrantica.com the notes change from EDT to EDP and the discussions are endless xD

So? Fragrantica isn't 100% accurate, and maybe a lot of note stuff is guesses/not-complete/not-accurate or whatever. (Look at Le Male, and the Le Male Scuba Diver type... look how different the notes areas are on the left.)

Let's just nip this in the bud before it gets out of control with all the other batch crap..

THIS WAS A LABELING CHANGE. EDTC -> EDP. They no longer make the labeling with the EdTC, but instead the EdP.

Please, don't go around spouting it's a reformulation change. Just.. don't.

If you want to buy AHEB, but it from any authorized seller and be done with it.

Only tested and knew the EDT and although liking this version quite a bit already, would perhaps enjoy it even more as an EDP

not all reformulations result in drastic changes in smell, so there's no guarantee that the formula is the same. all that matters is the smell, not the label or the ingredient list.

sorry to bump an old thread, but I just got a vintage EDT Concentre today. I had the EDP version a few weeks ago and sold it off because all I could get from it was lemon.

To my nose, there is definitely a difference (despite what Chanel says). The older EDT-C is much creamier and definitely something I will keep in my wardrobe. All I could get from the EDP was lemon, and not even a creamy lemon at that.

    Just my 0.02

Haha both seem to be the same to my nose but I didnt test the name changed EDP for that long.

To add on, I just remembered this thread existed from a couple weeks back and had not properly perused it until today.

I had not read Diegolo's post prior to smelling the vintage version myself, but it seems like we came to the same conclusion. I just cross referenced with some old Fragrantica posts, and other people seem to believe the same thing as well. YMMV!
