    Default Minotaure by Paloma Picasso

    Happy Sunday folks!

Just this week, I managed to score a 2.5 ounce splash bottle of Paloma Picasso's Minotaure for a good deal and I was excited to try it out. This wound up being a blind buy, as I could not find any means to test out the scent before hand, but I had an idea as to what to expect. Once I got it, I tried some out and at first blush, this scent is SWEET! And I mean sweet....like elbowing Joop! Homme outta the way sweet! The drydown seems to stay sweet as well, as there is a very amber-like accord in the base. I'm not averse to sweet scents, but I worry this one won't be at all comfortable to wear in the summer time, even for an evening scent.

I'm not giving up the farm yet.....I plan on a full-wearing tonight and see what happens. But for now, any of you all out there own or have owned Minotaure, and also when you have worn it, what are your thoughts and opinions? It seems to be a very well-respected scent, I'd like to hear your take on it.

    Thanks everyone!

    Congrats! Hope you enjoy.
I had Minotaure from early on when it came out and went through several bottles. I don't perceive it as very sweet and it's a great scent for warm weather IMO. Then again I love orientals in warm weather and wore Joop just yesterday.

Personally never was a fan of this scent from the time it first appeared. To the OP: Hopefully it will be positive for you in the long run.

I think it's a great scent period. Don't know how different the new version is though.

Wore this yesterday myself. I prefer it in the summertime. One of my all-time favorites, although it can get cloying if over-applied.

I bought a sample of it years back and didn't like it at all. Maybe I got a poorly kept sample, but it smelled like a orange sweet Elmer's glue.
