Default Powdery soap fragrance with green notes?

First of all, you can discard YSL Rive Gauche pour Homme because I already use it Also, it's not exactly the kind of fragrance I'm searching now, because RGpH is more of a fougère... yes it has soapy notes, but they're not strong.

I'm looking for something that really resembles soap. At least like Prada Infusion d'Homme. But IdH looks like white soap, and now I'd like something that looks like powdery soap together with fresh hay (or similar green leaves).

Some time ago I started another thread asking for patchouli with a green flavor: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/391...-green-flavor? But I don't really need patchouli, what I want is a really noticeable and dominant powdery soap note.

Ivoire de Balmain might fit the bill - it's very soapy and green. Perfectly unisex, even though it's marketed to women.
Perhaps Bois Blonds for the clean hay smell.
Iris Bleu Gris by MPG - very soapy iris
    Puro Lino definitely!

Seconding Ivoire. Soapy iris with a touch of green. If you want a lot of green, then you can check some reformulated green chypre, like Piguet Futur.

I tested it years ago and felt it like a synthetic perfume, it didn't remind me of natural or traditional notes. I couldn't find any soap on it, I remember something like a rubber note IIRC. But I might need to try it again.

Regarding the other suggestions, I'll try if I can test them in my area (Spain), but some of them look hard to find...

Mugler Cologne (give it a shot again one of these days) and Original Vetiver are great suggestions. In that same vein, I'd add By Kilian's Prelude to Love.

Maybe I'm insane, but the current formulation of Grey Flannel brings to mind an old bar of green floral powdery soap.

Chanel No.19, although marketed to women, can easily be worn by a man. It is a fabulous powdery-green fragrance. For a cleaner green from Chanel, perhaps try Bel Respiro, although I don't recall it being particularly soapy.

Mugler cologne does not seem synthetic to me and if i recall, he made it because he wanted a scent that reminded him of the handcrafted soaps he used to smell in his youth.

Green? Sisley's Eau de Campagne. Soap? Well, yap, very mild, close to the skin.

    Still another for Original Vetiver.

If you want the soapiness of Infusion d'Homme with some added green, Infusion de Vetiver is worth a sniff.

There's also Sung Homme. It's a heavier/denser soapy vibe than I get from the Pradas, with pine/fir and other green stuff plus some florals. Some people say it smells like Irish Spring. Not sure if it's powdery but it's definitely soapy and green. It's also a bit old-skool (1989) and has powerhouse performance.

Try it again, I HATED it the first time I tried it years ago...I gave it another chance earlier this month and ended up buying a 100 ml bottle, and then a 300ml bottle...also bought Original Vetiver which is very similar. I strongly suggest giving it a 2nd chance, good luck

Funny I just sampled this today at Twisted Lily. Very Irish Sprint but in a mall-scent way, I didn't like. But it highlights the first question: what brand of soap do you want? Dove, Ivory, Palmolive, Lava, classic French milled?

I got a bottle a year ago. Bought it blind without testing because I use to like Daniela Andrier works. However, I don't understand that one. I cannot find the Vetiver. The only green note I get is from the Iris. The vetiver is fully hidden by an exotic/spicy dominant note that makes me not to label this one as a green fragrance.

I'll try the other ones. I see Original Vetiver is winning. Price is about double of what I'm used to pay for Infusion d'Homme (I get IdH for about 65 euros for 200ml, while Original Vetiver is about 135 euros per 125ml). But I'll test it anyway and think about price later. I'll also give a second try to Mugler, and search the other ones posted in the thread. Thanks a lot to all!!

It's not in production anymore, but if you can find a bottle of Domenico Caraceni's Ivy League, I think it would fit the bill.
