    Default Male Summer Fragrance Recommendation

I'm looking for a summer fragrance or two that don't have the typical cologne smell. something that smell more like you just took a shower (fresh and clean) and not overpowering so i can wear it to work and out at night on a hot summer night.

Welcome to you Heyman! Two suggestions:

    Limon Di Cordoza
    Monsieur Balmain

    Welcome!

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. In general, vetiver smells fresh and clean.

    Aye, welcome!

I'd recommend something light and spritzy! Bond No. 9 Hamptons is one of my favorite summer scents. Chanel Allure Homme Sport (which was suggested above) is also a really good one.

You could also check out Original Vetiver by Creed!
I buy fragrances that match my personality. I want to smell like I'll whisk you away with me on a weekend retreat, not bring you to a nightclub and buy you drinks.

    Another worthy option.

That's a good question, I know a bit about Creed Original Vetiver, but I regrettably don't have much experience with many others. Maybe you can go to the nearest venue that carries Tom Ford and Creed, and give it a try!
As far as the Guerlain not lasting on you, that's sad to hear! Try applying it after a fresh shower! You can also put on unscented lotion before spraying yourself, that can help hold the scent down for longer. Best of luck!

Versace pour homme (or chanel allure homme sport), dior homme sport, or Bvlgari Man Extreme. Just picked this one up and it reminds me of Aqua Di Gio Profumo.

A bunch of people love Guerlain Vetiver.

Vetivers don't seem to last very long to me, which is one of my concerns, yet Cacio, who's generally right on most things, is constantly recommending them, so there has to be a kind of acquired-taste effect.

Start wearing Guerlain Vetiver, go heavy on the sprays as needed, and report back.

For fresh out the shower, there are plenty of options; even Platinum Egoiste has a little aftershave / barbershop feel; among many other offerings.

The recommendation above to try Allure Homme Sport is a great idea.

ADP Colonial INTENSA - its on my summer hit list. Definitely not your typical cologne, should shine in the heat and take you from day to evening to night. Perhaps more modern, piquant yet fresh than you would expect from the house. Overall interesting on the nose

It was a calculated risk. Unfortunately, I'm bad at math.

This is true. I've recently been excited about some niche scents that are good for summer, but they're just a bunch of other options in addition to this one from Versace that's also nice.

Some of the other scents that I like for summer are Allure Homme Sport (I love this one), Allure Homme Edition Blanche (some days I get longevity, some days nothing), Frapin L'Humaniste (this smells a little like Edition Blanche, and they all start to smell like each other after a while, but I get better longevity from L'Humanaiste), and the stuff from Frederic Malle includes some interesting/exciting scents for summer, at a cost: Bigarade Concentree to name one; and Chanel Eau de Cologne is an interesting/legendary summer option.
