Good Morning and Best to all

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. CuddleCat, I'm going to have to try the Lily from Crabtree and Evelyn that you wore yesterday. I haven't yet decided what I am going to wear today as I slept late.

Good afternoon all !. SotD is Royal Delight. Notes include - tangerine, bergamot, jasmine, violet, ambergris, leather.

Surely the most atypical Creed ?. Sweet floral leather with the characteristic ambergris note very restrained - I'm sure anyone sniffing blind would never guess which house it came from. Marathon longevity and nuclear projection too - very light application this morning and still going strong. Delightful

Hope you are feeling better, sciencegirl.

Royal Delight sounds very interesting, Jon!

Busy morning here but will be inside today. I love the warm weather but my sinuses just can't take the humidity anymore. The nice thing about staying in the AC all day is that any scent will work. So I'm in Shalimar EDC today, 1950's vintage. I'd always wanted to own a Montre flacon, love those big circular bottles! One of my very dearest friends surprised me with this one for a birthday gift a couple years ago. It's a Pochet et du Courval bottle with ground glass stopper. Came sealed and new in box, such a treat to be the sole owner of this big bottle. The stopper sticks, so I pop it in the freezer a bit before wearing, works fine. Don't mind the sticking as it keeps it fresh as the day it was born. After I've worn every drop, this bottle will definitely become a display piece in my home. So very grateful for this bottle!

It seems to go relatively under the radar compared to other offerings from the house. I know both Primrose and Perfaddict love it unashamedly and I think Donna is a fan too. It can be temperamental in warmer weather though - I have to exercise restraint otherwise the jasmine can become too indolic but otherwise it is a rich and rewarding oriental. It was vaulted some time ago and I enjoy it so much I already have a back up ready and waiting. (The Perfumed Court have it in stock if you are interested in sampling - I highly recommend doing so ).

Going with something completely different in character for the evening - Eau De Guerlain.

L'Artisan Iris Pallida today. I liked the anise note in it a lot, but like all the L'Artisans it doesn't last on me at all.

Jon, glad you are enjoying your Creed today. It is not one that I have heard much about, so was nice to read.
I'm am in SL Douce Amere again today. I got a compliment at work yesterday on this, although she said it smelled like a nice lotion . But she said it smelled very good!

First time from a sample...I think I got this sample from Joe (petruccijc)

Tubereuse 2 by Histoires des Parfums

Jammy, almost grape-bubblegum-esque. I love that aspect of tuberose accords in certain scents. I really under applied this one - it's piercing and strong. In today's heat that was a good idea. I enjoyed it very much!
