La Nuit de L'homme
Autumn is quite literally around the corner!
Most us have 100+ bottles and will continue acquiring. But are there any specific scents in your wardrobe that you look forward to using this Autumn?
I have recently acquired a fondness of musks and animalistics and will forward to using MKK and Leather Oud!
La Nuit de L'homme
My Ultimate Top 5:
Le Vetiver Itasca (2010)
Burberry London (2006)
Eau des Baux (2006)
Arpege pour Homme (2005)
Oooooh good post. I tend not to switch it up too much, but this autumn I think I'm going to go with Royal Mayfair!
I buy fragrances that match my personality. I want to smell like I'll whisk you away with me on a weekend retreat to engage in an exciting adventure in parts unknown.
Creed Royal Oud (lots of it)
Divine L'Homme Sage
Guerlain Heritage and Arsene Lupin Dandy
Amouage Memoir Man
I suspect these will be my heavy hitters
Current top 5:
1. CH Men
2. Rasasi Daarej
3. Rasasi Tobacco Blaze
4. Brioni EDT
5. Eau Sauvage Parfum
Bentley for Men Intense
And a hell of a host of others!
Lalique Hommage a L'Homme
Eau de Lacoste Blanc
Lolita Lempicka Illusion Noires Au Masculin Eau de Minuit (hopefully nobody asks me what it is that I'm wearing)
I kind of want to get a bottle of Oud Malaki, but I think I'll have my hands full with the others.

"Thank GOD for the nose, for without it we would not be enjoying these beautiful created Scents" also Remember "Balance is everything and the key to appreciating "
For autumn & winter - I'm going to use the least used bottles - Slumberhouse Mare, Kiste, many Lutens, Myrrhe Ardente among others & a few vintages that I haven't used in a while - like Signature, Equipage, Oscar de la Renta Pour Homme, Trussardi Uomo etc to name a few.
Some regulars will be many Slumberhouse's, Leather Oud, NK Incense & few that I own from Arabian Oud.
A good portion of my collection is well-suited for Autumn:
Tom Ford Noir EDT & For Men
Dior Homme & Homme Eau
MFK Masculin Pluriel
Bond no 9 Riverside Dr.
Creed Aventus & Royal Oud
Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme & Bleu EDP
I'm only a couple of dozen bottles guy, so take that into consideration.
I'm excited to break out:
Comme des Garçons BLACK
Tom Ford BLACK ORCHID
Comme des Garçons 2 MAN
Parfumerie Generale COZE
Michael Kors MICHAEL FOR MEN
Bond No 9 NEW HAARLEM
Le Labo VETIVER 46
No way am I breaking any of those out in the heat and humidity of summer, so they've been waiting patiently.
-- Creamy, salty-sweet, an oaky nuttiness . . . You detect that?
-- Oh I'm detecting nuttiness.
Few difference in comparison to all other seasonal rotation, but mostly gorumands, powerhouses, chypres and leathers, including but not limited to: Knize Ten, Eau des Baux, Heritage, Halston Z14 and 1-12, Lapidus pour Homme, Rochas Man, Christian Lacroix Nuit pour Homme, Lancetti Uomo
Impossible for me to say.
My desire changes hourly.
But lots of ouds, tobaccos, leathers and once in a while a bright summer EdC sitting on top of something very dirty or animalic.
Waiting for Hednic's 8th star
Lots of new ones mixed in with lots of old ones.
Remember that while it is perfectly acceptable to criticize the content of a post - criticizing the poster is not.
Mean spirited, nasty, snide, sarcastic, hateful, and rude individuals on Basenotes don't warrant or deserve my or other Basenoters' acknowledgement or respect.
A lot of Amouage Attars that I purchased recently
Habit Rouge EdP
CdG 2 Man
My usual favorites (K10, Yatagan, Elsha, Bois du Portugal, Heritage, etc.) plus Ferre for Man, Dzing and Dress Code, as soon as I can get my hands on a bottle!.
Striving still to Truth unknown
I don't change much for the seasons...The only exception is real hot summer days I will go with a refreshing citrus cologne,,,
Otherwise, I pretty much wear everything else year round...
LIDGE, Eau des Baux, Royal Oud, Michael Kors, JV Vintage, several others.
Comme des Garcons 2 Man
My own vetiver fragrance
Brineapple (Pineapple, Guava, Ylang Ylang, Marine Notes, Green Tea, Cade, Guaiacwood, Cedar Wood, Ozone) / Fur - (Vintage Musks, Woods, Leather) / Onsen Wood (Hinoki/Hiba/Cedar/Yuzu) / Winter XVI (Tree Saps, Extractions and Resins, Bois des Landes, Bourbon Vetiver, Spearmint, Frankincense & Myrrh) / L.O.M. Leather Oud Musk (Leather, Oud, Musk, Beeswax, Tobacco, Strawberry, Incense & Amber)
Best time of year for fragrance. Can really wear almost anything in this weather - just like clothes.
But my signature below shows the ones I am most excited to wear.
Current Winter Favorites:
1. House of Matriarch - Blackbird
2. Brückner - Aoud 1
3. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Generation Man

5. Creed - Royal Oud
6. Ormonde Jayne - Black Gold

Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

Amongst many others, but those are the main ones
With El Nino and overall weather patterns, SoCal is seeing 90+F and elevated humidity well into October.
I dont think we will ever see Autumn again out here.
Dolce & Gabbana The One
Prada Amber Pour Homme Intense
Less fragrance is more.
Most of my fragrances are for Fall/Winter, they seem to work better on me.
Lanvin Avantgarde was my go-to last year but now I'm added Midnight in Paris, Dior Homme, D&G The One, Kokorico, and I plan on adding more too.
Very much looking forward to the following:
Back to black
Tam Dao Parfum
