    Default Ferrari Essence Oud

Can someone describe it to me? They didn't have a tester. Looking for my 1st oud fragrance.

I tried it briefly years ago - in my recollection it came across as pleasant smelling without any prominent oud note.

For a 'started' oud I recommend M7 Oud Absolu.
Looking to swap for Bois du Portugal (5-10 ml).
Have Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Vetiver Extraordinaire, Incense Oud, Tobacco Oud and others.

Kindly PM. USA Only. Thank you.

    Check out my swap thread!

I found it to bee a somewhat lackluster fragrance. Didn't care for it.

Bought it this summer in Spain as I absolutely loved it after testing it one day (it is in my Top 10 even!)! I do not love heavy rose combined with oud at all but this one was just right for me and it lasts all day as well! Here my review:

IMO the best Ferrari fragrance I ever smelled.
Perfect fragrance as the rose is not too strong nor dirty (I don't like that too much) in the oud-rose combo but soft and a little powdery and also the oud itself does not scream neither smells medicinal or band-aid like. Fragrance lasts through the day with perfect sillage, evolves a lot and ends up after about 10-12 hrs with a very nice, dry and powdery leathery labdanum smell that actually smells a bit like the main smell of Davidoff Leather blend, which is an excellent leather fragrance! Really love this stuff!
    Rating: 9/10

This one is also good for starters as well as M7 Oud Absolu just mentioned!
    Another is Aigner No.1 Oud

I'm interested in this one, but as It would be a blind buy, how does it compare to M7, M7 oud absolu and Versace Oud Noir? I own and love all three.

Synthetic Oud with a nice rose note. Previously owned and traded.

Not a bad fragrance at all. The rose is there, but it's tempered and doesn't scream rose like some other rose/oud combinations, partly because of the elemi which is reminiscent of Montale's Greyland to some extent. There's also some olibanum which gives it a slightly rounded/velvety-butter vibe. I don't get much leather from it, but do pick up the medicinal likeness of oud in there. To my nose, the deep dry down on this is fairly similar to M7 Oud Absolu - you just have to bear with that powdery rose for a while (but like I said, it's not a "screaming rose" fragrance; somehow it remains more masculine and dark in its vibe than light and effervescent).

    Nailed it.

Rose/Oud combo that is long lasting, easy to wear, great for a beginner oud.
