Default Anything to delete off my "MUST TRY" niche list?

Heading over to Scent Bar to sniff around, but I know my nose will give out before I get through my list. The following sound interesting in the written descriptions, but could use some extra help. Some are newer, some not.

    PREFER: Drier, non-powdery fragrances.
DISLIKES: Anything really heavy in general - florals and vanilla notes kept to a minimum.

Any suggestions for obvious deletions through experience? Thanks!

Just sample them all slowly and judge for yourself.

Nothing. That's the whole point in sampling. As mentioned above, you can judge for yourself what you like or dislike. Enjoy.

As others stated, you would miss the point of sampling... but since you're asking for advices, for me you can safely skip them all except maybe for:

    Oliver & Co. - Resina
    YOSH - Sombre Negra
Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561 - Ambra Nera
    Masque Milano - Russian Tea

In particular I would strongly recommend to avoid wasting time with Orto Parisi, Stephane Humbert Lucas, Xerjoff, Byredo and Room 1015.

Sounds like you know you've set yourself up already. You're going to hit olfactory fatigue, which renders your subsequent opinions suspect, or you're just not going to give the scents their due. Which is, I suppose, why you're asking us to narrow your sample list.

I'd just plan on making several more trips instead.

Appreciate all the suggestions. Looks like I can at least shuffle a few to the bottom of the deck that possibly might not work. It's a knowledgeable bunch in the store and they can probably help edit the list, as well. I guess I feel 'lucky' (sometimes tortured...), by having Lucky Scent in the city, and become like a kid in the candy store with a hole in his pocket. Will take my time and do what I can do (and try to come back in a month or two), depending on work schedule. Thanks for the help!

Probably easier to say which one *is* a "must try":

Only one on your list, Tzora by Anat Fritz.

Some others are nice, some of those even excellent but that is the only one I would rate as a "must try".
    Current Top Favorites:
    1) Portrait of a Lady original formula (EdP Frédéric Malle)
    2) Giorgio for Men vintage/V.I.P. for Men (Giorgio Beverly Hills)
    3) Dia Man vintage edt (Amouage)
    4)
Anat Fritz Original Formula and Classical (Anat Fritz) - tie
    4) Lalfeorosa (O'driù) - tie

    6)
Les Nombres d'Or Vetyver (Mona di Orio)
    7) Captain vintage (Molyneux)
    8) Tzora (Anat Fritz)
    9) Javanese Patchouli (Zegna) - tie
    9) Monsieur de Givenchy vintage (Givenchy) - tie
    9) Coeur de Vetiver Sacré (L'Artisan) - tie
    9) Polo vintage (Ralph Lauren) - tie
    9) Patou pour Homme Privé (Jean Patou) - tie
    9) Oud Shamash (The Different Company) - tie

I wouldn't put any of the ones listed that I've tried on a ''must sniff'' list, generally speaking. These are: the Byredos, Wode (I do not know if Geza Schoen loves using materials that I am anosmatic to, but I personally can not recommend anything he has done), Emir and Sacred Wood.
But that doesn't mean you won't like them, so just work your way through your list with multiple trips. Maybe talk to the SAs, I think I've heard they're attentive?
    Currently wearing: L'Attesa by Masque

Thanks - was just trying to possibly weed out the heavier, sweeter, powdery or floral note oriented fragrances from my list (sometimes the descriptions on the store's website can be deceiving). The people that work at the Scent Bar are all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful - looking forward to the visit. I know it's all very subjective. People on this site often have a lot of experience with newer niche fragrances and are also very opinionated, which make coming to base notes so enjoyable.

If I were you I wouldn't limit my sampling in any way. I find that it is healthy to sample even things that are outside of my comfort zone, to challenge my taste and my sense of smell to experience the full spectrum of perfume. So just take it slow and sample anything and everything is my tip.
