Good point, though considering this one is known to have retained it's original self through reforms better than other classics, I still scratch my head at the initial comment of being weak or watered down.

Fahrenheit is such fantastic stuff. I don't wear it too often because it's more badass than I am. Fahrenheit is one of the few scents that if I notice it in public, I can't resist trying to figure out who's wearing it to see if the guy looks like he's worthy. You can't be a shmo and pull off a scent like Fahrenheit.
haha I'd hope I'd be able to pull it off, I deadlift almost 600 lbs now and do get compliments from Fahrenheit pretty often when I wear it.

Also just wanted to reiterate that 2018 batches are incredible, last literally until you shower it off, and smell extremely close to vintage. Curious to try a 2019 (or maybe even 2020) batch when my current bottle is empty. As it stands, current stuff is miles better than what it was in 2016.

The 2019 new formulation of Fahrenheit is fine - I've posted a thread about that: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/468...r-2019-12948-A

2018 was more like the classic back in the days, 2019 is a little more fruity/floral and has less of that "gasoline" vibe.
I already bought two more backup bottles of the 2019 one as I don't trust Dior that they keep the current scent as it is.

And of course I'm in, too!
There's never a bad day to wear Fahrenheit!

I remember - but thought it was a good idea to link it here in case of some others are wondering about the new Fahrenheit formulation.
Doesn't hurt to take a look at the batch code and formulation when buying in the stores.

No problem. I think the claims that vintage is the only way to go are frankly absurd and a bit deceiving/possibly malicious. Very recently I got a comment "woahh you're wearing Fahrenheit! I haven't smelled that in ages" from my 2018 bottle, whereas I never got any comments at all from my 2016 bottle. New batches have insane performance and clearly a different smell than just a few years ago.

Default Re: 'Fahrenheit Day' on Monday, 14th Dec 2015......

My 2018 performs a little bit better than the 2019 one - but it is a little bit older and has aged wery well during this year.
However I have zero problems with the 2019 ones and like the way they smell - it's clearly Fahrenheit and for me still one of the very best designers out there.
And I'm very happy that no one seems to wear it anymore here in Germany. I know that it still sells quite well but I very rarely smell it on other guys. So you'll stand out when wearing Fahrenheit instead of BdC, Sauvage and those other "modern" scents - and in no way I want to say that Fahrenheit is dated. It's not, it's timeless and could be easily released 2020 as a new modern scent from Dior if it wouldn't already exist.

    I love Fahrenheit!

the current version of EDT is very good (as is the parfum and Absolute). I do prefer the vintages which are stronger in gasoline and less vanillic.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

This. Like my car, I’m sure I could run on vanilla extract if I had to, but I’d rather not.

I don't get that vanilla vibe in the 2018 or 2019 ones.
They don't smell like the 2016 batches.
But the Le Parfum has a strong vanilla note, like that one, too but it's a different animal.

Hello everyone, I'm a huge Fahrenheit fan. I actually wear 5 days out of the week on average during every season. I had a 2015 bottle that I liked and finished, and I'm currently working on a 2017 bottle. The 2017 bottle is fine in my book.

Seeing your discussion (especially you FragFrog!) on 2018 and 2019 bottles has me wondering... are the 2018 bottles significantly different from 2017 or 2015? Are the 2019 bottles significantly different from 2017 or 2015?

Anyone with experience with 2015 and 2017 comparing it to 2018 or 2019 would be greatly appreciated.

^^^ Disregard my post above. I found a whole thread about the 2018 bottles... Consensus seems to be 2018 is good. I might check a local WalMart to see what bottles they have in stock, haha.

The 2018 ones should be fine - I like the new 2019 ones very much, too.

I have a 96, 2009, 2011 and 2018 batch. The 2014-15 ones were terrible, too sweet and citrusy. Fahrenheit is one of the best modern men's fragrances. I belive the 2019 batches are different and more metallic, so I bought a 200 ml bottle of the 2018 formulation which is pretty similar to my vintage though the drydown on the vintage is more potent.
