I was in my Macy's today and did not see it.
Thread: CK2 now available at Macy's
Notes look interesting, and it's unisex, as was CK1. Bottle looks cool. Interested to see what the early reviews are on this one. Notes are:
Top: Wasabi, Mandarin, Violet Leaf Absolute
Middle: Wet Cobblestones, Orris Concrete, Rose Absolute
Base: Vetiver, Incense, Sandalwood

Excited to try this one. FragranceX have had it for a while, but the price is a bit high for a CK frag. What is the retail?
Ummm, wet cobblestones and orris concrete??
LOL Wet cobblestones.
How does iris smell like concrete or vice versa?
If CK/CPI spent more time on the actual fragrance vs gimmicks their fragrances would probably sell better.
"Hey, you smell really nice. Is that... wet cobblestones?"
"Yep! Concrete too."
"Wet cobblestones and concrete smell so good on you!"
"I know, right?!"

I thought CK Be was CK2.
Designer fragrances can be so silly and redundant. This is one of the reasons I prefer niche. At least with niche, fragrances have focus and purpose.

You guys read way too far into note pyramids. The gen public doesn't analyse notes like we do, and Orris concrete has nothing to do with the concrete we walk on every day...
"The distilled oil solidifies in the receiver as a wax-like and cream-colored mass known as orris concrete."
Tried that one. This time marketers of CK and Coty don't lie, CK2 is really a fragrance of 2010's. Modern - the only word I could describe it with. In fact, it is based on the one "salty" molecule that we did see in Womanity, Calvin Klein Reveal, Paco Rabanne Olympea. Here the vanilla and other sweet notes are replaced by smooth citruses and some pepper that enhance the salty accord. Still the fragrance stays close to skin and doesn't have really a good longevity. However for the market of aquatics CK2 is quite noteworthy.

Apropos, here´s the definition of a "Concrete" : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concrete_%28perfumery%29
I just finally smelled CK One for the first time yesterday. This may be worth a sniff, but I didn't really see the big deal about CK One.

Violet Leaf Absolute?
I hope this isn't body spray-ish/hair spray :-/
Bottle looks cool and since it's easily accessible, there's no reason why I won't sample it.
Never leave the house without six sprays.
My Top 5:
1. Xeryus Rouge (vintage)
2. Perry Ellis "m"
3. Body Kouros (3rd reformulation)
5. Alien Absolue
i like how they have two different forms of rock in their notes
I tried it in sephora in Paris
It was a big meh for me, though I was hoping I'd like it because of the cool bottle.
I got a very floral start , slightly fruity. Obviously feminine because of the flowers, imo. Then some time after that it gets a bit more aquatic , reminding me of adg...
So, sadly not for me.
I can say with 99.5% certainty that the notes list (like most notes lists) has little bearing on what's actually in the scent. There's no way that a mass-produced perfume by Coty would use absolutes of any kind, let alone orris concrete. The "wet concrete" effect, however, could stem from violet leaf which does, to some degree, smell like wet cement. Narciso PH is the best example of that. I'll give this a sniff when I see it, but I'm guessing it'll be an inexpensive orris replacer over the standard-fare celebublob "musk" base.
Can't wait to get my nose on this one as cobblestones (wet or dry) is my favorite note.
I'm so excited I may go out and sniff the patio in anticipation.
Lots of good feedback on this one so far...just watched Sebastian's YT review last night. Sounds interesting and some talk that it's along the lines of a CdG's release?

I am more interested in the wasabi note. If the spiciness comes from the wasabi, then sign me up as a fan.
I wear fragrance to smell good to everyone, not just myself
I tried this today and Ck in2u after long.
Nahh, not for me at all.

I cant say I am particularly intrigued. I may be proved wrong but I have a feeling ill see this at TJ maxx by the summer.
The ones that I'm cutting loose: http://www.basenotes.net/threads/415...ers?highlight=
I tried this today. It's in Boots in the UK. It's a bland and barely-there scent. Smells of very little. It's a skin scent only with zero projection. It is reminiscent of Dunhill X-Centric.
I don't see any point to this one.
