@N.CAL to answer your Buffy question, I think the Mayor was one of the best, with his 'gosh, darn it' home spun exterior, hiding his warlock interior....Moist Towelette anyone?
Faith was a great character too, a young slayer with problems, in a father/daughter relationship with a man who wanted to be a giant snake, what's not to love?

I'm not scented yet, and I'm popping out soon to start a mini photography course, which should be fun. I shall update later with my choice, no doubt it will be big, loud and awesome

    Morning all!

The antibiotics seem to have done their work on Mr teardrop; he's gone back to work today & hopefully he'll be ok. Thanks again for all the get-well wishes, everyone.

l'm planning to rearrange the accommodation for all of my samples & decants today, as they've outgrown the space provided. Just the kind of pottering that l love!

Today l'm sampling a creation by our very own mumsy, called Eau de Bubblegum. She was kind enough to honour me with a sample, & l'm blown away by how similar it is to the real thing. Bravo mumsy, & thanks!

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

    Good morning!

sjg3839, I think you are smelling particularly *fine* today! Also glad to hear Mr. teardrop is on the mend... And serves me right for being off the board this weekend, HOW did I manage to miss a Buffy conversation?!? I'm not as much of an afficianado as LaFlaneuse, but definitely a big fan. I remember being shocked when I discovered that James Marsters is actually American. (Speaking of which, he's voicing the books on tape for the Harry Dresden series, if anyone's interested...)

SoTD for me is a new one from Neil Morris Fragrances, Chasing Autumn. I've actually had a sample since the end of the summer, but this is the first time I'm giving it a proper wearing. Have to say I love it so far! Perfectly appropriate for an unseasonably mild winter day...

Hugs to all who want 'em!

Chasing Autumn notes: Fir needles, birch tar, coffee, Atlas cedar, amber, nootka, nagarmotha, vetiver, nutmeg.

Good morning all! The weather is really nice for the 1st of February, mild and zero wind. Might have to go for a walk outside later and enjoy it.

Teardrop, so glad to hear that he is feeling better, it's scary when they get that sick.

ComDiva, Chasing Autumn sounds really interesting, let us know what you think of it. I've always wanted to try Neil Morris October, it sounds like another one I'd like, have you tried it?

SeaRoses, I hope you feel better soon, what a nasty thing to come home to.

    Organizing + pottering = playing

Sampling Cereus Pour Femme No. 9. The notes are: blackcurrant, raspberry, bergamot, Bulgarian rose, musk, sandalwood, cedarwood. My first impression was that I smelled lime and something from men's aftershave, like eucalyptus. It’s refreshing on a Monday morning.

Missed posting all weekend (I wore lots of Fille en Aiguilles by Serge Lutens, Cumming by Alan Cumming and Royk by Madhat) - I had loads of fun with a houseguest (from Montreal) and my boyfriend also. He left last night & in a couple weeks I'll go up to Orlando to see him Valentine's Day Weekend. He wore Black Afgano last night from a sample & it smells so much better on him than on me.

    First time from a sample...

Noir Pour Femme by Tom Ford

I like it - it's very much like the masculine release, but like that one there is a sort of irritating amber note (I have smelled it in Ambre Nuit by Christian Dior) that makes it slightly less enjoyable to wear.

ErinK - I remember buying Bandit Shower Gel from a fragrance discounter years ago - OMG it's good. If you ever see it snatch it up immediately. One of the best fragrance body products I've ever owned.
teardrop - I need to do the same, some of my samples are really disorganized

ComDiva, I also have a sample of Chasing Autumn and find it very realistic. A little heavy on the birch tar for me personally but impressive nonetheless.

Taking a break from theme week to wear Mona di Orio Vanille for my SOTE.

La Flâneuse - Yes 'The Mayor' was one of the good villains in the series. Quarry seems to disagree on that sadly. I liked how he was obsessed with certain things like cleanliness, germs, not swearing. The graduation episode from season 3 finale was one my favorite episodes: he transforms into a demon! Adam from Season 4 pretty cool as well. The Hush episode from season 4 was great.

Quarry - Spike was good too as well, although he switched to the good side (scooby gang) later in the series.

ComDiva - What's your favorite villain from the series?

Sadly I didn't stick around to watch the entire Buffy and Angel series, I stopped watching it during the 5th and 2nd season respectively.
