Default Guerlain Vetiver : Day and Night fragrance?

Really considering this fragrance but I am wondering if it's as suitable for the office as well as on a date. Is it versatile? I'm based in Singapore, a humid tropical country.

Yes, extremely suitable for office as well as dates and casual wear.

Extremely versatile. Great for hot weather.

Should also try Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver.

Guerlain Vetiver is more versatile than Grey Vetiver. Grey Vetiver is more tenacious.

Quite versatile during the entire daily schedule- have worn it so far (quite frequently) both during daytime and for evenings/nights out etc., never had any problem with it, this fragrance remaining appropriate in either types of situation.

I can't see any problem in wearing it at office and yes, it is a versatile as a pure vetiver based fragrance, specially in humid/warm weather (as most of the vetiver based fragrances)

Highly recommended! ..and yet it seems like it's not for everyone. Definitely sample if you can but for the price I think it's worthy of a blind buy. You can always sell it here if you don't care for it. I wish I could swap my NIB 200 ml of Habit Rouge for a 200 ml of it.

...and yes, it's especially nice and cooling in humid climates.
It is true that fish stink. It is also true that the river is
beautiful. But the river would be beautiful despite the fish. What
    is noxious remains so.

That is not to say that sh*t is not useful when buried in the wheat
field. Bread made from the field tastes sweet, wine from the arbor
sweetest. All things serve a purpose, but that is no reason to
glorify what is abominable. A man must still watch where he walks
    and keep his sandals clean.

Vetivers are typically designed for hot weather, so they will do very well in Singapore. And I always thought they do very well in an office, fresh, but they never come across as teenage stuff. The Guerlain is a good one, and as hedonist was saying, there are many others (though typically in expensive niche territory).

Very versatile and works well for day and night. Wear it and you will be the best smelling man in any crowd. For what it is worth, I really like the aftershave and in that concentration it is totally office in the tropics appropriate--maybe the EdT at night?

Made a blind purchase of it. Should get it early next week. I am little reluctant to spend more on perfume now as I have seemingly developed an allergy to it. Any contact with skin and that area will become red and itchy. So I just spray it on my shirts now. I have a bottle of Creed MI what I hardly use anymore.

Quite versatile. My Dad wore Guerlain Vetiver to his law office everyday in humid South Florida. I also frequently wear it to work, but rarely out at night. However, it's a good all around scent IMO.

The shirt is a great idea. If you wear suit, you can put a scented handkerchief in your breast pocket (or simply scented paperstrips). Hair keeps perfume well too, though it's not that common to spray hair for men.

I think it is the crisp white shirt of fragrances-- it is always appropriate and good for almost any scenario. I'd caution you with wearing it on a date, though. Some can perceive it as a little dated. Grey Vetiver is a modern interpretation of the Guerlain. I do prefer both the Tom Ford and Guerlain in the warmer months.

As for other vetivers, Encre Noire is inexpensive and a good choice for the price. However,in that price range, I much prefer the very fresh Lush Smuggler's soul (most inexpensive in body spray form, which lasts very well). It's not available in the US, though, just in Europe.

At niche prices, Chanel Sycomore for more elgant, and Vetiver extraordinaire for superfresh.
