First wearing of the Eau de Parfum version of Escada Pour Homme from an Escada Beauté 5ml mini. It's my understanding Scannon later took this on and those bottles had the more rounded "double E" logo, but I could be wrong.

Excellent classy stuff. In terms of style, reminds me of being halfway between Chanel PM and Ettore Bugatti with a boozy oriental twist. Soft in character and very pleasant all around. Anyone familiar with any differences between the EdT & EdP, or Scannon vs. Escada Beauté? Considering a bottle, but they fetch quite high prices. Apparently 6-7 years ago these were available at TJ Maxx in the US for about $20...I don't recall seeing them back then, but I wish a had a time machine to double check. I can see why this has a cult following and costs an arm & leg on eBay.

From a 1982 formula, sample [supplied by purecaramel]. Armani!

It's been so long, this is like a new scent! Old school chypre. (I hate the term "old school" but can't think of any other similar phrase off hand). I'm getting oakmoss, galbanum, aldehydes, benzoin. A hint of jasmine, amber, and rose.

I'll let this mellow for awhile to discover its middle and base notes...
