    EGOISTE

I wore this from a sample last year and it didn't really do anything special for me. I revisited by purchasing a bottle . This smells delicious! Honestly, I'm not sure if its vintage or not.

The batch code suggests that this bottle is from the early 90s.

Based on "Eau de Toilette" being printed on the bottom, I feel like it could be late 90s or later. The batch codes supposedly repeat every eight years, right? So maybe just add eight to the estimate you had, and that's probably the best guess.

Either way...I guess it would be considered "vintage". I see that this is one of your favorite fragrances .

I'm enjoying it....rose is not my favorite note but it's not dominant here.

I would guess 2008 or 2000. The EDT above the Chanel would be indicative of the older but I am by no means an expert. Either way I own both the older and not quite the newest and they are spot on as far as quality IMO not too much a difference. Maybe a little darker/richer smelling on the older. I love it!
There are several old posts on the batch codes and am sure someone can add the link to the most relevant post.

I definitely enjoy Egoiste, vintage and current. It's such as easy fragrance to wear, I always feel comfortable, as if I'm wearing something made to fit me. It doesn't smell like rose to me. I mostly smell sweet woods, and maybe a subtle fruit note.

Aramis Devin, from the splash "Light Sporting Cologne" bottle.

Not one I wear often, but I found myself craving it. It's interesting to wear. Up close, it's very bitter, dry, uncompromising stuff, but the sillage is oddly soft on me, particularly today. Enjoying it!

I agree. When I tested it on paper, I kept getting whiffs of sweet, woody goodness .
