That’s a favorite of mine for bedtime, along with a handful of others. I find it calming. Specifically in the formula in your pic. A spray or two from my 80’s bottle of Wild Country has a similar effect, albeit more going on, with a soft and creamy bloom. Unfortunately my wife doesn’t share the same affinity for Wild Country as I, and usually makes a “you smell powdery” type remark. Thankful, though, she doesn’t hate it. On the other hand, she never makes any remarks about Canoe. At any rate, me likey.

She might enjoy 60's Wild Country splash better. Real nitromusks and really rounded.

    Fidji by Guy Laroche (1966)

I guess every old green chypre figures somewhere in the Ice Queen family tree of No. 19. This one has a warmer bottom than most.

1980s vintage parfum -- cutting the sealing string on a virgin bottle.

I like Fidji from what I smelled of my sample. I think it shares more DNA with Y by Yves Saint Laurent (1964) than Chanel No. 19

Yeah, I could see that connection. Now you've made me want to switch to Y for the day tomorrow... I actually like it better than Fidji. And I just missed out on a big ol' pressurized bottle of Y, boohoo.

I'm probably rocking my pressurized 1959 bottle of Avon Topaze or 1970 bottle of Avon Charisma.

I have this. I haven't worn it yet. What's your take on it? I'm not a huge fan of the rose note but the dry down is nice. My wife loves it and encourages me to wear it.

I think the old GFs are very high quality. I'm getting it almost immediately when I found the GF in the 90s period The dark roses used at the beginning have forced the balsamic structure to be very high quality. The clean smell is very pleasant when you sit down like you said. I think if your wife likes this smell, don't upset your wife and use your perfume

In that case I STRONGLY recommend the post-shave Revitalizing Toner by American Crew. It puts Proraso to a deep sleep performance-wise. I use it every day. Refreshing, cooling and very soothing.

I use other AC products. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

My favorite is AV Ice Blue...next would Pinaud Clubman.
