    You all smell amazing!

Not quite vintage but today I’m wearing L’Air du Desert Marocain by Tauer from a 2005 bottle. Temperature is in the upper 90’s (Fahrenheit) in my part of the world and yet this fragrance still smells very nice and wearing just fine.

    It is an interesting design.

I came by this perfume by accident. It's sort of in the Tabu mold.

It's interesting that just adding those bar shadows across her face makes that ad so much sexier.

Totally unknown to me, and I was suprised there's even a directory entry for it here. Which led to looking at the whole roster of Max Factor perfumes, and there wasn't a single one of them that I've ever heard discussed.

The lines create a sense that something is happening here. Or is about to happen.

Wouldn't you love to know what Aquarius (1969) smells like? I think Max Factor ran TV ads for their cosmetics when I was a kid, which is how I knew the name. And how could one forget a name like that? More marketable than Maksymilian Faktorowicz*, in any case.

*Worth a read, even if only for the first two paragraphs.

Drugstore niche: Pine Gems Essence . Not exactly vintage (2010) except in spirit.

This is a very limited edition of the Pino Silvestre Original Eau De Cologne, offering some of the elements used in the Fifties, when Pino Silvestre introduction took place.

This Eau De Toilette is available in 75 ml/2.5 oz spray size, and the fragrance quality features a number of absolutes, amongst them Bergamot and Lavender. The cap is made by hand in Pinewood, the box has the typical Pino graphics in a rich shiny Gold cardboard. The retail price will be 26 euros for a 75 ml/2.5 oz EDT.
[A giveaway price at the time. Now hardly seen.]
