SOTN is Eau de Patou (cone shaped bottle) via a sample from my favorite chef. Not as spicy as the blue cap. And the florals are more pronounced, although with the citrus top. A man could absolutely where this, and is wearing it. Going forward, I think this is better suited for daytime if a guy (or me rather) is going to wear it. Thanks chef!

    Chanel No.22

This one was missing the label when I got it. But it's obviously a Chanel, and there's no mistaking it for any other scent. It's a little "bruised". I imagine it will smell fabulous around 45 minutes from now.

Everyone is smelling great today, like usual. I didnít put on any fragrance this morning, since the Eau de Patou was still going well enough. Now is lunch time and Iíll probably apply Curve lightly just to get me through the afternoon. I think I have a decant in my vehicle. If not, I know I have some Polo (Cosmair).

Itís one of the things I enjoy about it as evening wear. The original Italian release had a touch more density to it... although I want to be careful not to hype that version at all. Just saying. I enjoy Nobile at night though. As a plus, a little body heat wakes it up. But, as with many Gucci fragrances, itís overall easygoing.

Amazing to me how much more wearable the vintage is over current production... From my 1 oz bottle of JC distribution, my SOTD:

Completely agree... It’s almost like entirely different juice!

My SOTD: Vetiver Dry by Carven.
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.

Yep. Agree. For forever Iíve said the new stuff smells like a nice fabric dryer sheet mixed with the smell of an outdoor ashtray... which never has scored any positive points for me on the forum. But it is what it is. Sanofi distribution makes it wearable for me. And the JC distributed version is down right pleasant. All the same scent pattern, but the older versions are better blended and likely using better pre-IFRA ingredients. Iíd imagine that I would like the first edition as well.

And damn, you smell good too! Vetiver Dry is a sleeper IMO. Epapsiou introduced me to it. Itís not polarizing in any way. Just downright pleasant as hell. Easy to miss when looking through a collection, but always enjoyed when I wear it.

Eau Libre by Yves Saint Laurent (1975)

More than most fragrances I've tried that are classified as unisex, this one leans masculine to my nose. I wish there was more information on Eau Libre to be found online. About all I was able to learn is that the nose was Michel Hy, and it was apparently conceived as a unisex scent from the start.
