Although it's good quality, I'm not really into Creeds and fancy pedigrees. I'd much rather pay top-dollar for a 2oz-bottle of non-IFRA-compliant Rogue!
Fancy pedigrees are often fake pedigrees unless you're dealing with Guerlain or Houbigant, which has the history to prove it. Or you can do what Clive Christian does and buy an old brand (The Crown Perfumery) just to destroy it for vanity's sake.

You answered my question and then some, Martin. Thank you! I'm still looking for Avecesar's thoughts on this one. Is it a keeper?

You're welcome, Bavard! A serious release by Adidas and definately a keeper, imo. It's original and pretty unique as it doesn't remind of anything else. Citrusses, dry herbs, roots, woods and oakmoss and a signature backbone of juniper and leathery suede... I summed it up much better in my review of it. It has a dryness/dry expression akin to the dryness of Tuscany per uomo, imo. Solid stuff it is!

First wearing today. It's a nice scent but nothing very special to my nose. I smell some similarity in the opening with Azzaro Acteur (maybe the rose ??) but I am disappointed so far by very short longevity ; it's very warm today in Paris, maybe this is the cause for this short staying power. Il will try it again once it's cooler and my opinion may change.
One additional point : I have no idea on how the bottle I own has been stored during the last 30 years (I got it for 7€ ...)

Sotd is vtg Sir Irisch Moos EdT. Mäurer+Wirtz version. Still with a good dose of oakmoss. Refillable bottle which is perfect for when acquiring the vtg splashes. Lovely mossy barbershop!

    Hearty congratulations

Lanvin - Rumeur (vintage parfum): aldehydes, bergamot, peach, plum, jasmine, clove, cardamom, nutmeg, civet, leather, tobacco, patchouli, green leaves, vanilla, sandalwood, oakmoss, vetiver.

That wonderful vintage Lanvin dna is already working it's magic. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the glorious rich plummy leather that just shines through in this stunning chypre. This is going to be one hell of a ride
