Interesting I too have noticed that with some of my Creeds. I have grown to love the GIT so much and to smell the new bach was so inferior was a bit of a let down. The two 2.5's I purchased are actually 2011's I had my eye on a partial decanter of 2009 batch. I also found a 4oz that is identical to mine as far as the Middle Eastern writing on the sticker on the bottom. I just never want to run out of thIs great scent! LOL

I think it just needs some time to breathe (and a bit of use) to clear right up.

To me it feels like a more-floral Eau Sauvage .

A strange scent that proves highly addictive.
It was the signature of my girlfriends father who introduced me to HiFi..
Fond memories of sipping Gin and comparing Shostokvich 5 from 1960 to mid 80's. On vinyl.

Been on a Green Irish Tweed kick lately. Non vintage batch. It's not as deep as my 2010 batch. But it still gets the wife's attention. She loves it more than I do!

    Default Your vintage SOTD

1-12 Cologne, early '90s or maybe a little earlier. Good quality box w/ patterned lining(?). Purple juice. Absolutely gorgeous opening (kinda like Capucci PH w/ added galbanum). Crisp lemon and a clear oakmoss. And that's it, for me. The rest is linear and shampooey with little development.
It deserves a second chance, though, so I'll give it a full day's wearing soon.

    Hello dear friends!

I’m baaaaaack. Sorry for being absent. As some of you may be aware, we had a tropical storm hit the southern US on July 13th. I had a preplanned family vacation scheduled for the 15th and we decided to leave early, just to make sure we wouldn’t get stuck and lose out on family vacay. Long story short(er)... overall things were fine at my property and we had an amazing vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains! I sincerely hope everyone is doing very well

My SOTN is Caron Pour Un Homme.

    Welcme back Sir!

Perfect example of what to do when faced with an existential threat. Great Smoky Mountains would seem to be a much better choice than Chicago.
