Quite right. Surrendered it years ago, experienced an immediate tranquility boost, and plan to hold out as long as possible.

Thanks for sharing the list. Solid list, as expected. I see Prince de Galles Sport in there. How’s that one been working out?

I've really enjoyed it. It's by far the crispiest vetiver I own, as crunchy as a cold cucumber. It's gotten lots of outings this summer, taking the burden off the Guerlain Vetiver.

Diorling from a decant courtesy of epap.

It is on par with the other Diors from this era, which is to say, outstanding. Really refined leather chypre with some of the fruity floral top notes from things like Diorama. As soon as it settles in, I find it plenty unisex.

    Good to read.

I really enjoy it as well. It’s SO versatile. It works like a charm in the blistering heat, on rainy days, cooler sunny days. It just works. I think that people who like vetiver, and want something leaning towards the Guerlain end of the spectrum but aren’t smitten by GV, would probably fine PdG Sport a good alternative. But what the heck do I know?

I’m still debating a SOTD. Last night I wore the modern Rasasi Chastity (which BTW for me wears like a better version of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Edition Blanche with a twist. Even gets more compliments FWIW) and I still smell it. I want something vintage but didn’t realize the Rasasi would still be going this well 14 hours later. It’s faint but present. I probably need a vintage bomb to overpower it huh? I’ll update my SOTD soon.

Seriously, after all this time you never sampled Gucci Envy? Kind of surprised. It's one of the better light spicy sandalwood fragrances from the late 1990's. The only one I prefer to it is D&G By Man.

I actually prefer the EDT. I enjoy the brightness of it and find it to be much easier to wear. The vintage EDP is great stuff, but I really only grab it when I’m dressed to the 9’s in the spring or early fall.

I was going to wear that today but it's still too hot here for that much patchouli. 92F degrees again here. And I do mean F.

Vintage Egoiste would be my go to for a light spicy sandalwood.

Today, Men's Classic ('86). After a few more wears, I feel it has a little more going on than my first impressions. Yes there's still the Encre Noire/Enrico Coveri thing, cedar, vetiver and a floral aspect but also a very nice green aromatic (Quorumesque?) veil that I can't quite put my finger on.
Would I get a second bottle of this? Absolutely.
Oh, and it layers quite nice with Paco Rabanne Pour Homme..

I'm weighing deep vintage '60s–'70s vs. the '86 version. Any thoughts beyond your comprehensive review before I pull the trigger?
