Default PS Paul Sebastian - yay or nay?

So I saw a bottle of this in the wild today for $20 - and immediately thought it might be worth. Then I remember reading something about a bad reformulation. In its current state, is this a horrid train wreck or is it purchase worthy? What's y'all's experiences with the current PS (on its own, as compared to old, etc.). Yay or nay?

In whatever formulation, I say, "nay."

Appears to be the unspoken consensus. I'll save my dough then.

    Unfortunately a 'nay' for me.

Smells cheap and crude (to me) to be honest.

    PS Fine Cologne, yes?

It's OK, a bit better than even. I have a bottle of the current formulation and I use it occasionally. I do remember some earlier versions, just. All in all, it's always been a bit of a muddied composition and I for one never quite bought into the Old Spice comparisons. Anyway, it's cheap, plus vintage of a sorts is still pretty accessible, and I'm happy enough to have it. Might even dig it out one evening soon.

I do think it is a bit like an EdT version of Old Spice. But I give it a nay.... in my "frenzy" days, picked it up as a nice cheap frag.

Sometimes there are reasons things are cheap.

It's not awful, but don't pick it up to feed the "gotta get me some new frags" monkey.

That monkey used to drive me bananas.

I am doing much better resisting the impulse buys. Waiting until May for my next purchase is some discipline I needed. And I'm actually wearing more of my collection! Imagine that!

I would say NAY! I smelled a vintage bottle once, I don't know if it had turned but it was horrid.. It really just smelled bad! I smelled a current formulation also, it wasn't as bad but definitely not something that I would want to wear..
