Tough to do as the two are both very competent, but extremely different smelling. I own Scent Intense, but easily recommend both.

Intense. I owned 21 for a bit and though I liked its creamy-milky vibe, it reminded me of the sweet Mexican rice milk drink Horchata and found Intense to be more interesting (still have my original bottle I purchased when it first came out.)

As said, both are good, but me would pick Intense because it is more "rich and sophisticated" to my nose than 21.

    Intense would be my pick.

Agree, both are great, I love 21 although Scent Intense has the twist of immortality.

Costume National's Scent Intense is a mysterious, naughty, dark, haunting, swoon-worthy and surreal brew. It's hard to verbalize but there is definitely a 'something' about this scent.

l must be missing something with Scent lntense. l find it an extremely dull woody amber that lands on the skin with a heavy thud & just sits there, unchanging, uninteresting.

21 on the other hand, with its milky-woody, subtle complexity, is a pleasure to wear.

Yes, probably you miss something, Scent Intense is anything but dull on my skin (on the contrary is rich of nuances, surprises, velvety subtleness, warm attractiveness and chic sophistication). My most complimented scent ever (I know this is not an ensign of quality or complexity di per se).
