Guerlain Vetiver (+ shampoo?) 1.7oz. Not sure of year, but probably in 90's. Found for a steal so I snatched it up pretty quick.

Also a 10ml mini size of Antonio Puig - Sybaris, to see if it's up my alley and if I should spring for a full size (or more!)

The bottle was from the 2000s, you're looking at 10+ year old bottle.

A sealed Vol de Nuit parfum extrait mini splash this afternoon. I waited......and waited......and waited......for my second purchase of L’HB parfum extrait travel spray to be despatched, but no such good luck was to be on my side today, as I would have it. Instead, the seller informed me that he noticed the bottle had a leak while he was packing it at the last minute. Why am I not surprised? Even though I don’t buy his reason by a long shot, I’m not too disappointed.

My post high-school favorite (graduated 2000). I still have my 2002 75ml. I'd upgrade it to bigger someday. Polo Blue is an aquatic even hardcore haters of anything post-1990 can get behind because it dries down to a "sweatier" version of Cool Water once you get passed the opening IMO

    @AlanG

I love that OG Polo Blue gift set. Finding first edition novelties like gift sets, lotions, bar soaps is just cool. As an owner of Polo Blue back when I was a "one bottle at a time" guy (e.g., before BN) I like this one particularly.

Myself; I bought the chrome shouldered Kouros tester off the shelf at a local establishment. Turned out to be a chamelion of sorts, with Gucci-PPR jus in L'Oreal packaging. Which is unsurprising being a 2008 batch code which was the year of the switch between the two manufacturers. Which is also cool.

eBay! He has one more listed right now as an auction. There is a difference in the juice in these bottles vs the current. Strifeknot had a 100ml bottle just like these last year that I bought 5ml out of. The dryness and spices are amped up in this older bottle, and that gorgeous opening blast lasts much longer. The newer stuff is smoother and more refined. Andy says he has never reformulated but he must’ve done some tweaking over the years. Or perhaps it’s due to different suppliers over the years or something. Regardless LADDM in all bottles is gorgeous.

Me too! Although I do actually use the AS balms sometimes...which I actually prefer over AS splash. I've been lucky to find a few; all vintage:

*Grey Flannel w/AS balm and bar soap

    *Grey Flannel w/AS splash

    *Burberrys 1981 w/AS splash

*Burberrys 1991 w/AS balm (beautiful set, very classy)

*Giorgio Beverly Hills Extraordinary Cologne w/AS balm and shower gel

*Christian Dior Fahrenheit w/AS balm and deodorant stick

    *Gucci Nobile w/AS balm

*Ralph Lauren Safari (Cosmair) w/AS balm and shower gel

    *Rocabar by Hermes w/AS balm

I don't have photos of all but here are a few.

Your Polo Blue set is very classy! Enjoy it!

Hmm, may just be aging of ingredients. Andy himself has said there's been no reformulation of LDDM.

Nice. My interest has emerged a bit for Polo Blue. Would like to revisit the EdP, and have an itch for vintage EdT. Need to look up performance of that..

I tried getting an old Grey Flannel. Closest I've come is Sanofi maybe. Good stuff though.

Nice pick up on the Fahrenheit.

Yes...Sanofi is good. Grey Flannel has gone through a lot as far as distribution is concerned. I've never owned the current distributed by EA. The original formulation is hard to find. I got really lucky!

No idea, hasn't arrived yet, haha. Will be first time owning a Guerlain with this bottle type. Previous owned said it smells great, sprays great, and that it's a nice scent.

    Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme

I picked this up on a whim the other day. How old are we talking here?

A batch code lookup on two different sites date it to 2013, although apparently the D&G codes are repeated every 10 years. From what I understand, the packaging details rule out 2013, but I wonder if this might have been produced not in 2003 but actually in 1993. For one, there is no green dot anywhere. Oddly, there's no bar code either, which I think would have been unusual in 1993, let alone 2003. Could the bar code and green dot have been on the cellophane? Another thing that points to a '90s production date (to my mind) is that the alcohol concentration is shown on the box and bottle. I had thought that the practice of displaying the alcohol concentration had largely ended by the early 1990s. Then again, maybe that's just something D&G kept doing longer than other companies.

I'm out of my depth where D&G is concerned, so any insights would be appreciated.
