Got all these from a pharmacy in Huntington Beach that was closing. Not a single barcode or green dot in the bunch. YSL is Parfum Corp from 1986-88. The two testers are both full. The after shaves and deodorants will be going up on eBay at some point.

    Holy mackerel. <thud>

I should make an effort to smell the YSL PH from that era sometime. I have a feeling it probably seems fairly unisex by this point.

Tried some yesterday. Longevity is outstanding for a citrus heavy EDT. Reminded me some of 80’s Cravache, but maybe with a bit less lavender, more citrus, and better longevity, and will sometime do a side by side to confirm.

    Cartier - Declaration

Does this count as vintage? Should be a June 2002 batch with 3 ingredients listed, BNIB.

It’s like taking Chanel Pour Monsieur and Capucci Pour Homme, pitting them in a blender and then throwing in some basil and lime to top it off. The basil and green notes give off a grassy vibe. Imagine Arnold Palmer wearing Pour Monsieur and standing on a freshly cut fairway while drinking a lemonade. You go up and hug him. That’s what you smell. Classy, clean, comforting. It really is an underrated gem.

I ended up passing on a full bottle because I felt like I had others similar enough (like Capucci) to scratch the itch while I look at other old goodies. Nevertheless, it actually IS full bottle worthy.

Though it brings up a good point, probably outlined somewhere but what's the cutoff year (or something) of release to qualify for the vintage section?

But, I'm an introvert and I really dislike going in front of the class. Forgive me, haha

lol, kind of funny, as time goes further and further on eventually 1 Million, Sauvage, etc. are going to be considered classics.

If I'm not wrong, Le Male has or is hitting that stance as well.

It always strikes me when I read things about like... "Ah yes, good old Kouros, used to wear that in high school when it came out!" and stuff like that about classics/old-school stuff.

What is now 'mature' to a lot of younger generation(s) was once THE younger generations scents. Fascinating.

Eventually 1 Million and stuff..... "Oh gross, reminds me of my Dad!"

Cheesed that the Avon Tribute has turned. Still nice enough soapy smell buy nowhere near the notes list: lemon, lavender, civet, leather...
Lesson learned about splash on vintage bottles.
However I ensured my next purchase is spray/sealed:

There is a survivor bias here. Only good classic fragrance survived and that leads to the thinking that all old stuff becomes classic.
I don't think Sauvage would attain same status as Kouros 25 years form now.
At best its is Spice Girls equivalent of fragrance world - catchy when it came out but confirmed as shite 25 years later
