My Bel Ami mini is in mint condition. I feel like I should leave the bottle in tact for display purposes since both the box and miniature are in pristine condition. It be like wrecking a work of art.

Congrats! Excellent fragrance. And of course it doesn’t smell old mannish. I do fear, however, that it will not stand out at all during the concert.

That's true. Sadly, only autumn-winter you will make it past ~8h mark...maximum 10.

But during summer, you will enjoy it ~4h. Still better than nothing, eh ?

It really looks like when I think about it.
I like perfume too. I think it's like a mixed version of old school perfumes with Guerlain Lidge.

Interesting! Sounds nice, and I do love that bottle.

I'm not finding it in the directory and there seems to be very little information on it in general. Where did you find it and do you have more details/notes?

You're right, there's very little information about perfume. I was only able to find unclear little information on parfumo.net. I decided to buy it because I knew that the old perfumes of the Marbert brand were good.

I love GPH and am fortunate to get great longevity out of it year round. I guess I was just thinking more in line with it not being beast enough to stand out amongst all the smells at a concert. Is it an outdoor venue? Even more so. Still love it regardless, for its versatility and simplicity.

Albert Nippon by Albert Nippon [1 oz.] and Tristano Onofri by Tristano Onofri [4ml miniature]. I've had these before, decades ago.

    Drug store or just ubiquitous?

    A883B2A7-F161-4AA3-90A1-6380E8DE6106.jpg

Very cheap but what a bang for your buck. I think what people often read as “old lady” is the sheer complexity of these vintage compositions. Odd green chypre or warm lemony oriental.
Also got a solid version of Rive Gauche in decent shape; goofy eBay gambles.

Blueberries and violets work. I love the way fully ripe blueberries have a strange purple spice all their own. I've also learned that I really like Houbigant Ciao - so late 70s.

Vintage Replique parfum is excellent, and it was not drug store in its day. An "old lady perfume" today, perhaps, but it may be the oakmossiest vintage of them all. And a dry oakmoss-rich chypre was considered sexy then...

In the late 1960's and early 70's, Replique ads featured a most handsome cheetah:

Not as good as deal as ZC got but at $9 it was no brainer.

    Blend 7.

That was an interesting one from ZC's Avon pass. As I recall, the development went from dusty weeds to cocktail bitters to sweet mosses. It reminded me of Chanel No. 18.

But what kind of vehicle is your bottle supposed to be? I can't tell.

Sadly, my huge Avon blowout didn't include any Blend 7. When I chose to back that one up, I was paying eBay prices (which weren't terrible tbh).

You aren't kidding about the oakmoss! The sage and coriander are on full display in the EDT as well. Rather masculine. The small bottle smells like a Sicilian lemon left out in the sun, with spices. Stuff lasts, too! Sadly, the extrait is right up there in price with the sought-after frags. This reminds me of hunting for records and discovering Martin Denny for the first time...:
