What size bottle is the Nobile, that's a good one from Gucci. A great work scent but a bit pricey for the everyday wear. This and Pour Homme are the ones that I enjoy the most.

Definitely look into L'Arte di Gucci.

No idea of the bottles and brand on the right.

The Nobile is 120ml, less a bit (as pictured). It is too expensive, but the price on this one wasn't horrid. Pour Homme (1976) is the only other Gucci I have so far, and it's lovely in that old school Italianate way.

Definitely look into L'Arte di Gucci.
Ah, good: my list of discontinued vintage gems to acquire was growing too short.

No idea of the bottles and brand on the right.
The brand is Galimard, a small perfumery based in Grasse that's truly as old as Creed pretends to be, with a good reputation for decent blends of high-quality ingredients. This is an assortment of mostly discontinued feminine frags (only Galimar is still in production), available for little more than pocket change, so I figured it was worth a few sniffs.

There's the infamous Envy which seems to have a cult following. Envy for women could be potential gift for your wife. Lots of good reviews on that one. Then there's No 1 and No 3 which are marketed towards women. Just a few gift giving ideas.

I don't actually know which frags she's tried. I mean, I know some, but not all—no idea about Gucci. She's big on No. 19, Hermès Rouge, Caleche, and Clive Christian C. She mentioned she likes some classic Diors, but I have to learn which ones. I turned her on to the vintage Lanvins (she'd only tried Arpège, which she didn't love) and Patou 1000, so that was fun. Today she's got on Cabochard, but I tried to smell it while she was cooking and it got overpowered.

Anyway, I tend to buy her perfume more as a random "just because" kind of thing. For our anniversary, she got jewelry. (It lasts longer.)

Your wife doing the reviewing for these I presume?
Well, I'm certainly going to ask her to try the Galimards and tell me what she thinks. (Proper reviewing would require more time than she has to spare.) But I'll check them out as well for their "crossover potential," and just to educate my nose. After that, anything she doesn't want may end up in a sample pass or otherwise wend its way back into the world.

Gucci Envy Perfume and Gucci Envy for Men would be a good pick for your wife and yourself.

Eau d'Hermes - won a little bottle of vintage Eau d'Hermes. Didn't have to pay anything for it thanks to eBay bucks.

I have to try it again. On paper in the store, I really got the tobacco, which I loved. My first try on skin, I got more sweet, butterscotchy amber, which is less my thing. But, I might layer it with something more smoky/caustic, like TF Tobacco Oud.

A trio of d'Orsay scents from the 1995 reissues, all discontinued because the house is dead (again). Got them for a steal.

Etiquette Bleue is like the perfect sweet powdery orange blossom and oakmoss. Maybe too feminine for you, but a great bedtime scent.

If I don't care for it, I can always see if Mrs. S. does. If not, well, that's what the marketplace is for.

Welllll, she's not a huge fan of Arpège. She prefers the other classic Lanvin feminines she's got. Don't know about the Guerlain: she may never have tried it.

Is this your first rodeo on D'Orsay? I wonder if Etiquette Bleue will smell anything like L'Heure Bleue. Powdery, heliotrope, iris, vanilla.

It is indeed; and as I don’t know L’Heure Bleue, I wouldn’t be able to say even after it arrives. But, I’ll let you know if I think it’s any good!

Went to Seoul again for 10 days, scoured some local markets, bought these oldies:

Bobby Jones Cologne, Aramis 900 in metal bottle, Minotaure 75ml Cosmair vintage, Vigevano Pour Homme (an obscure vintage Italian cologne that smells like Eternity for Men with a heavy infusion of mint and moss, love it) ++ big Gucci Rush 10ml sample (not pictured). Left for the next visit some other great stuff like Givenchy Insense, you just can't buy everything at once

And some women's vintages: Gucci Envy, Benetton Colors, Amazone Hermes, Molyneux Quartz (a big WOW, this one)

Lovely bottles! I'm very curious to learn if the associations suggested by the names hold up. Miss Galimard (Miss Dior?) Galimar (Shalimar?) Taba (Tabac Blond?) Peggia (Arpege?). I've read about Galimard's vintage dupes before, but I've never tried them.
