    Default Harrods visit

    Good Evening

After a while visiting Harrods - I went yesterday and I had posted about my visit there over of FFF, and I thought I would share with you guys here, too

I went early evening to Harrods, with one of my clients and unfortunately because they had a flight to catch, there was not much time to hang around to take many pictures and neither did we have time to go through all of what is available on their 6th floor, but he ended up picking up couple of Cartier ouds, including oud Santal and oud rose, and also 3 Kurkdijan oud satins, and the Bvgari Harrods Exclusive Onekh, which is the only oud in that range. He also picked up a couple hashish based (yes you read correctly - hashish) Nassomatto Black Afgano - another Harrods exclusive. I personally of course have tried the Kurkdijan oud satin in the past and I hadn't thought much about it at all. But today I sprayed some on myself and it was totally different. When I first took a whiff, I felt so nostaligic and emotional, I did not know why. The immediate overwhemling note of Rose - which lost me completely because I didn't realise it was the rose - somehow made me feel yearning for another era or generation that I was never part of. Almost like smelling a great great grandmothers fragrance who I had never met... kinda lol a genetic connection with that note - very weird. Maybe I had smelled it before in my fathers village in his country, during a childhood visit and it was that coming back to me. Ive never had a fragrance make me feel like that. Then I realised it was rose. The sillage is amazing! The rose on the Cartier Musc I tested was of course different but equally lovely - more expensive than the Kurkdijan, its very lasting but not much sillage from what I noticed, but the lasting power on the skin is amazing. Then the Nassomatto - which OMG I absolutely LOVE. I have never taken drug or drank alcohol or smoked in my life - but I know what Hashish smells like. This stuff smells NOTHING like Hashish, but the stuff is amazing. The juice was a beautiful connocation insence and frankinsence - though it didn't have that pure frankinsence church type smell at all... it was quite rosey and musky, but different. It had a tinge of honey... absolutely incredible. Highly recommend it and its the best as far as I am concerned, in their range. The Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 - I didn't test the whole range due to lack of time, but there is practically no oud at all in them and I tested the Soliel Jeddah and for a fragrance that is aimed at the khaleej market (Arab) its not what it could be - its very 'nice' but nothing about it stands out. This range is another Harrods exclusive. Unfortunately, we didn't get much time to spend in all what Harrods has to offer, but tomorrow I will be with a client in House of Fraser and in a few days time, it will be back to Harrods, so ill be hopefully spending more time there

Have any of you tried these fragrances, and if so, what did you think of them?

Sounds that although the time was hectic, you and your client had a very interesting time! Your client picked up some very nice scents. I own those two Cartier ouds plus all of those MFK scents that your client purchased. Love them all. Have also tried the entire Stephane Humbert 777 line, and while I don't own any, (my son owns them all) I also like them very much. Thank you for sharing your Harrods adventure! I enjoyed reading it. Was there briefly in the last week of July this summer.

Glad you enjoyed reading about our experience!
Luckily it wasn't too packed at all, because it was a weekday! So was very easy to navigate, then it usually is on a weekend! I nabbed some Kurkdijian oud satin mood - much to irresistible to leave behind!
