    Default NEW: Follow by Kerosene

    http://www.fragrantica.com/news/Foll...sene-8593.html

    from fragrantica

:Kerosene Fragrances announces the release today of its newest fragrance, Follow. As perfumer John Pegg explained on Facebook, "This scent has been in the making for the past two years. We're so excited it's finally complete! It's an unexpectedly dark, warm, gourmand coffee fragrance." Follow is the first release by Kerosene in 2016"

""Those moments when scent lingers longer than expected.
Warmth and bright new mornings collide when passersby glance, noting something different in the air.
Eyes close as they take in dark-roasted coffee, vanilla and amber.
Their usual route is abandoned; it's you they follow."

    —Kerosene Fragrances"

"Follow is available as a 100 ml EDP in Kerosene's signature hand-painted bottles with hand-stamped labels, which means each individual bottle is 100% unique. The fragrance has a suggested retail price of $140.

John Pegg will launch the fragrance in person today at San Francisco's Tigerlily Perfumery. If you're in the San Francisco area on October 8, visit Tigerlily between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM today to meet John, sniff Follow and the other Kerosene scents, enjoy a Follow-inspired cocktail and receive a 10% discount on perfumes. Tigerlily is located at 973 Valencia Street, San Francisco, CA.

Follow is also available on the official Kerosene website and at Kerosene stockists around the globe.

Although haven't liked their previous offerings, willing to give this a try. Hopefully MinNY will carry it.

Has anyone tried this yet? I've been horridly disappointed by coffee fragrances so far but the sweetness of this one sounds really appealing.

Clayton, this might be a good one to include in your next sample haul if you haven't already tried it.

I hope it's nothing like tonkaccino which turned out to be a huge letdown. It smelled awful and didn't have any coffee nor Tonka.
I heard it's a creamier softer espresso Royale?

i dug out a sample of expresso royale and wore it today.
expresso royale is a lot more "perfumey"
whereas follow by kerosene has a whiff of the bitterness of coffee grounds
it's black coffee, no cream, no sugar, no cinnamon bun next to it

oh god wait, this smells like espresso royale??? Fuck I just bought a sample of this.. I really hope my nose does not relate it to that. That one is totally lost on me, smells like ginger snap cookies when I tried it, and everyone else I had thought it smelled like that to. -____-

Blackmail is the best thing Kerosene has. It's like Broken Theories with personality and sex appeal. For a coffee scent, try Legendary - Barista

already have barista! For what its worth I still think the 3 best fragrances if you want a fragrance that brings to mind coffee are still barista, intoxicated and tonkaccino... And well guess will see what i think of blackmail once I get my sample in the mail here soon...

Still holding out for a dunkin donuts fragrance.. hopefully someday...

Well got to try it recently.

The beginning is nice, almost imagine if your coffee had so much foam, its as if you pour a beer or some kinda wine or champagne with a lot of just a really nice thick creamy rich foam is at the top. A really nice aroma of coffee. Beginning was like wow, just huge coffee blast for sure.

But as it dries down it really gets more bitter.. and it does smell like coffee for sure, but it has a bit of that espresso royale smell to it. Now I know some people like that here, but im in the camp that does not think that it smells good at all. Its just bitter and almost like a strange stale coffee candy thing. It doesnt quite go into ginger snap cookie territory like ER does but still im not to horny about it. There is a bit of almost smokey freshness to it as well. Maybe its the tinge from the slight candy vibe, or the way the benzoin works with it im not sure.

Anyway I think this falls into the novelty territory with how much coffee I get. And for a more novelty coffee scent I think I like tonkacinno and baristas legendary more. Although certainly this is more straight black sorta coffee than either of those to me. But still, just after the opening I was disappointed.

Performance seems good like every kerosene fragrance that ive ever smelled those for what its worth.
