Default So - If Australia Post Prohibit Shipping Any Scents Then........

...... How come when one places an order at Fragrancenet in the USA, shipping winds up being in part through Australia Post with an Australia Post tracking number? That's the only option given at the Fragrancenet check out, and costs around A$34.

Interesting the contrast with what others have documented here, that when they mention fragrance at Australia Post, the published rules are pulled out which prohibit all fragrances, even by road transport.
    Regards,
    Renato

I know it is a late reply but I was once curious and had the same query. This is what I found

If you are a retailer and you have a dangerous good packing license, if the content is less than 30ml, you can post it by air or road with an agreement in place. You can google the image for "Dangerous Goods in Excepted Quantities". Check your parcel if there was this label on the parcel
If the content is 100ml,or over, there was a fixed fee per shipment making it expensive to ship. However, if you ship more than a certain amount of perfume per year (for example, several thousands shipment), this fee will be brought down significantly. You can negotiatie with an account manager so he will look into that for you, even with dangerous good class 3 flammable liquid.
    Hope that answers your question
