Default Need a blind buy suggestion

    hi guys,

I need some suggestions for a mens perfume.. as a blind buy

the onces i have bought before were :
A&F fierce.. i liked the longevity of it.. and its quite strong.. ( so i limit it to 1-2 sprays) .. and my friends noticed something "spicy" .. so that is nice ..
YSL La Nuit De L’homme : its quite mild.. or i dont know how it smells .. still confused about this one.

    any suggestion will help..

    Hi web_bug2005,

Be glad to help with suggestions, but it would be very helpful if you let us know for what occasion or occasions you would like to wear this cologne, what styles you like or are looking for, notes you don't like and dollar amount you'd like to spend.

Without that information, I'd recommend Bleu de Chanel for about anyone as it is well-liked and is versatile for use in many instances.

    Good luck!

Is there any particular reason you're wanting to blind buy? Why don't you just go to your local Macy's, Sephora, etc. and just smell the testers there. The sales associates might pester you but it's not your obligation to buy from them unless you absolutely know what you want.

Im not any fragrance professionalist, so you shouldnt consider my recommendation as priority. But I think you cant go wrong with Dior Homme or MontBlanc Individuel ( its so so cheap ). Take my first sentence seriously

Based on what you own and where you seem to be right now at this point, I'm going to recommend in this order from #1 to #3:

    Allure Homme Sport
    Bleu de Chanel
    Armani Code Profumo

They are all widely appealing scents generally well-received by others. I imagine you would like them.

^^ This, both the additional info (also what other fragrances you own) and I agree that BdC would be a good choice.

My advice is to sample.... Blnd buying is fun, but has its risks... If you have access to a perfume counter, this is your best bet

Hermes - Terre D'Hermes. It's what I always recommend to general questions on what to buy. It's a classic

Anything from the local Marshall's or TJ Maxx. It will be cheap and if you don't like it, well, you didn't spend a lot on it.

not to worry, i do not get offended easily. When I suggest TdH to people I assume they are looking for something beyond the "generic" (opting for something "interesting" rather than "safe") -- this is one of the most unique mainstream ones out there and, in my opinion, mainstream enough to be a solid blind buy for those looking beyond the "meh" colognes.

I don't understand this, you are asking great Basenote members for a opinion which one to pick.. you are not even responding or giving feedback. It would be polite if you answer .
