    Default Wardrobes for spring

    Dear friends,
spring is here, at least where I live.
Now, yesterday evening I had my spring wardrobe 'ritual' and pulled out a nice lineup for the months to come. Thanks & enjoy!

Nothing special for spring for me, just my continuous random selection of scents from my stash.

Of course summer is less versatile so that'll change the game a bit.

For spring, my favorite things are vetivers of all kinds (depending on the temperature that day), heavy/complex citrus scents (like CC 1872), and fresh scents blended with incense (Bleu de Chanel, AJ Arabia Black I, Reve d'Ossian, NVC Trayee, etc).
    Current Winter Favorites:
    1. House of Matriarch - Blackbird
    2. Brückner - Aoud 1
    3. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Generation Man
    4. Xerjoff - Wabar
    5. Creed - Royal Oud
    6. Ormonde Jayne - Black Gold
    7. Armani Privé - Oud Royal
    8. Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777 - Mortal Skin
    9. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
    10. Creed - Royal English Leather

No major changes in the rotation, just about the same SOTD as the rest of the years, perhaps with a certain, but only minimally increased preference towards the citrus, vetiver, woody scents in the current wardrobe

I have a real itch for a sweet scent I can wear in the summer. I'm thinking things along the lines of Invictus, Polo Red Intense, YSL Ultime and the like.

    Well,

My Spring scents will start next week. I am having one more week with my cold weather fragrances because here in Las Vegas there are only 4 months of cooler weather and alas, the cold season is over.

Next week spring scents will begin for me and I will start with Mauer & Wirtz 4711 Eau de Cologne and move along to these:
    Terre d'Hermes EDT
    Ralph Lauren Safari
    Clive Christian 1872
    Creed Spice & Wood
    Creed Royal Water
    Creed Green Irish Tweed
    Creed Original Vetiver
    Creed Royal Mayfair
    Tommy Hilfiger
    Acqua di Gio Profumo
    Chanel Platinum Egoiste
    Nautica Voyage
    Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Forte
    Dior Fahrenheit

I'm working on eventually getting Xerjoff Nio and Creed Aventus but they are pricey and I'm still recovering from buying CC 1872 recently. I will likely buy Dior Sauvage at some point soon and "possibly" Chanel's Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme for summer. I'm going to need a bigger display shelf, so I'm reluctant to buy anymore fragrances. So, I might need to wait until I move and buy specially selected display furniture.

I tend to wear Troisième Homme more in the spring. I also think that Coriolan is perfect for spring (and summer, autumn, winter....). Finally, I like to wear Cuir Pleine Fleur in the springs as well. That said, after our delightfully damp winter, it is now in the 80s and 90s so I am not sure that 'spring" really counts in Southern California.

An original post from my friend, Roky, warms the soul, especially with the fragrance selections in bold. It's going to be smelling fantastic this spring whenever Roky is around!

It is not spring here yet, so I will try to update when it warms up a bit.

Updated to add that people sound seriously motivated for spring.

I'll start to break out the florals.

I'll have Molinard's Muguet on, especially on May Day, and also plenty of Diptyques: Olene, Ofresia, Virgilio, and probably Opone. I'll have Floris Elite and Versaille PH handy too.

+1 on the florals. I'll be wearing a lot of Dior Homme and Guerlain Cologne du 68.

Thank you for your kind words, dear friend Bavard. GFF Uomo is highly underrated and ignored among us perfumists but isn't it nice? Yeah, it's oldschool to the bones. But with its transparent chypre/fougère interplay, a wine-like rose top, truly nice moss and woods this one generates a unique freshness. Some parts of it remind me of Paco Rabanne pour Homme btw. Backed-up on this with a huge 200ml for it's still around for a pretty good price.
    Best wishes!!
