    Default Clive Christian C, L, and V.

I absolutely love C but I wonder if I would like L and V? My initial goal was to purchase a 50ml bottle (which I am still saving for) of C for men but am not sure if I would like L and V. I have been throwing around the idea of buying the travel. What are your thoughts on the 3 and if it was worth it for you to buy a travel set?

I don't think loving C would be any indicator as to whether you would like L or V. They are quite different from each other.

Just asking what others feel about the collection.

Clive V is a great cedar plus a bit of spice! Nice Middle Eastern vibe, but too expensive for me to own. I have 2 decants that I use for special occasions.

V is a great black pepper/incense scent. It's quite spicy and nose tingling, and I like it. L is a woody, sap-like green fragrance that recalls masculine scents (but doesn't smell the same) like Italian Cypress. Both are good, but I think the best from the brown-bottle collection is C, while my favorite from the line remains 1872.

Find the entire house completely overrated. If I couldn't re-sell the bottles I wouldn't buy them for $20

While I don't consider the house overrated, My love for C and for L were fleeting and thus I am trying to offload them to no avail. I truly enjoy No 1, X, and 1872 though. Dougczar is correct though, Loving C will absolutely not determine if you will like L or V, due to the fact that L and V are completely different from C. I would definitely advise against getting the travel pack as it is rather expensive and i think it will be difficult to get rid of L as it truly is an acquired taste. Just my opinion.

Sorry, but you really must sample them to know. They are all different enough that I wouldn't assume you will like them all based on liking C.

I have L and X and like them both. Actually, X is probably in my top 3. It is one of the primary reasons I became a Basenoter. Came in here to find "something else that smells like X for Men" for much less money. Never found it so i bought X.

Though I once did purchase their travel set, I don't advocate it. It's kind of like buying three largish decants. And if there is one you don't like... too bad buddy.

I did not care for 1872 and yet paid a small fortune for it in that three pack. If cost is a concern, and it sounds like it is, I would say spend your money on one that you truly love rather than three small ones with the possibility you may not like two of them.

Happen to own and love all three. If you have a Nieman Marcus near you give them a try and judge for yourself.

I recently wore Clive Christian V and it instantly shot up to one of my favorite incense fragrances. Very smooth and longevity is off the charts. But is it worth the money? Ehh.

I like X and L.. L is actually on my buying list.. You can find more peppery and better quality than V at half price from different niche brands imo.. I am neutral with 1872 right now.. I dont find it something special but happen to like it..
