Default Looking for a farewell gift/perfume -ocean and surf

I have a supervisor that is departing soon and I'd like to give him a gift of perfume. I know he loves the ocean and an avid surfer and looking for suggestions. I'm considering Sel Marin by Heeley. I recall he absolutely loves the smell of surf wax, which I am unfamiliar with. Any help is appreciated

Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts

Costs around $30, I think. Or if you want something overly pricey, you can get the Creed, Virgin Island Water. Any of the Tommy Bahama ones will be closer to what you're looking for though. Sel Marin is more like a beach, with absolutely no sweetness.

Other than Sel Marin which is wonderful, perhaps Fougeres Marines by Montale.

How much are you looking to spend? You can pick up some of the Hermes Jardin ones for under $40.
Un Jardin En Mediterranee. How how about a sampler pack, these are always big hits in case they don't like a specific scent you give them.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm going to go with the Tommy Bahama and pair it with a surf wax candle.

TB and candle a good option. Failing that, I would second the suggestion of Sel Marin. I will add Profumi di Pantelleria's Maestrale--a great oceanic--or one of my favorites, EROLFA. Surfer? Are you guys from Cornwall, by any chance?

Actually in Yorkshire and my boss is returning to the States. From what I gather he has done surfing along the coasts of the UK here and there. He's not a perfume wearer from what I can tell, and if I do smell anything while around him, it's usually scented deodorant or a body wash style scent. I'm not sure he'd appreciate Sel Marin for the price point, where as TB if he doesn't like it (or uses it as a room spray), I'm okay with the the price point it is.

Also adding Baldessarini del Mar, Carlo Colucci Uomo Mare, Aqua di Roma Uomo, Rochas Aquaman to a list possibly worth considering

Never even heard of these ...Let alone smelling them ....Lol....though quite curious if they are regular run of the mill ocean perfumes or rather veering towards super niche categories ....! Are these Italian perfumes ?

I bought Tommy Bahama St. Barts. Surprisingly a complete bear to find and buy. Most US sellers refused outright to ship it APO, so I was left finding a UK eBay seller for the smaller size. Several sellers and online perfume places wanted to charge, in my opinion, exorbitant shipping costs, far exceeding the cost of the perfume itself. I decided to pair it with a surf wax candle and they will hopefully be here within a week.

I do like the Un Jardin suggestion as well, as I have and wear la Nil, la Toit, and Mousson. Hopefully I can get the TB as a gateway 'perfume' for the attended recipient.
