Default A father's day story, for fragheads

I was hoping for a nice relaxing father's day where I get pampered and showered with gifts.
I don't think my family's idea of father's day is similar to mine.
I had to get up early and go to the grocery store cause we had run out of eggs.
And of course when I reach I get a big text from my wife about the other stuff we need. It is never just the eggs, is it? Came home and hour later and had to make the breakfast for them all.

Finally I sit down with my breakfast and a nice cup of coffee and the wife says- "What are you doing dear? There is a soccer game in 20 mins and you are taking him"
I run without having a my morning cup of coffee.

At the game my son said -" I think people do not like dads as much as mom"
I ask why, he said "cause the games were cancelled for mother's day"
I did not know how to respond so I say- "That is because dads love soccer and cancelling game would make them sad"

And once the game was over I had to take him to a Birthday Party. Now why would anyone have a birthday party on father's day is beyond me. But away we go to an ice skating party in middle of june. I am , of course, dressed in T-shirt cause it is in 80s in the hopes that I can drop him and do my stuff. But...
So there I am in a t-shirt in a skating rink. Thankfully I was not the only moron in a T-shirt. One of the dads was in shorts and tshirt.

Finally we head home and I realize I have a few bags of clothes in my car that have to be donated. I see a goodwill store on the way back and stop by. I was at the counter handing off stuff when I see it. I ask the lady at the counter about it and whether they get fragrances. She said it is very rare and she dabbed some on me. It was pristine. $9.99+tax later I am a lucky owner of this unicorn.

Not a bad father's day after all.

Vintage Guerlain Derby edt is a great find for a Goodwill thrift shop. I have stopped into the Goodwill in this area, and they had nothing for fragrances, and also said they rarely have anything.

That is what I was told. It is rare for them to get fragrances. But I guess stars were aligned for this Derby.

That she is. And if I dillydally she gets the most expensive one (organic free-range hand massaged chicken at $25/lb).

I can rarely function properly without morning coffee, but I'd be willing to endure the headache and short temper for a $10 eagle bottle of Derby - nice find! Happy Father's Day to you, from Guerlain (and me, of course ).
