This is a big deal. EXCELLENT. Tiffany did the absolute right thing. Top talent in feminines for their new pillar feminine.

Tiffany is phasing out their original scents for women and men, I understand.

I love the original Tiffany for Women of the 1990s.

Just like when they "borrowed" Jacques Polge from Chanel. Total house-to-house combat psy-op. Tiffany knew they had to snag a world-class reputation for feminines, to compete with their own image.

Makes me wonder how this works. Do house perfumers always leave open contract possibilities? Perhaps with an absurd starting fee? Very curious.

An old formula from pre-Prada days?

    Cool!

Did Tiffany discontinue the Tiffany for Women? (Do I have enough backups of the extrait?)
It seems that Tiffany Pure and Truest have been gone for awhile.

Tried it this morning in the Tiffany store in New Orleans. The smaller stores have testers; stock hasn't been shipped and they want you to order from the store. (They didn't mention online, where it's available.)
It's a soft, nice floral. Classy, demure, watery green - and, well, polite. Settles gently into its iris, and no drydown. It just disappears. Longevity wasn't more than two hours.
I guess I'd hoped for more firepower.

I've often wondered the exact same. And do they write residuals into their contracts, for a percentage if sales go over a certain amount, like movie actors and producers? It would certainly go a long way to explaining the focus-group dreck that floods the shelves.

We should start a thread about perfumer's reimbursement methods. Somebody around here probably has knowledge.

Really didn't like this one. Smelled like a hundred others (Coco Mademoiselle sprung to mind) and never seemed to go away. The first new release in a while to give me a terrible headache.

So disappointing - either Andrier was working with a shoestring budget or she'd been focus-grouped to death into making a perfume that already exists under a myriad of different names.
